I find it fascinating to see how Cloke has changed one dysfunctional kicking action for another... and then see Mason Cox produce a pretty straightforward kicking action after looking like a girl kicking it during the AFL tryout in the USA. If I didnt know better, it's as if Cloke is trying to stuff up to get traded.

So what you're saying is Cox will have a better goal average than Cloke in his career?

I love cloke, but he's cooked.
He'll go, get a 2 year 350-400k deal somewhere else and end up like Dawes has at Melbourne

No I'm saying that I cant believe that Cloke has completely revamped a crap kicking action for another flawed one. He now faces the goal directly ....walks in straight... and then kicks across the ball. He seems to consistently hook it now.

There's always one. Feel free to provide even 3 instances of ootf this year or any shots dropping short. The guy can kick em from outside 50. Or don't.

Cloke's best is long gone, it won't be coming back at this club that's for sure, especially when you got a bunch of clowns that can't hit a target.

It was pretty much evident when he still missed from like 20m out, directly in front (No pressure, we'd already won) against West Coat a couple of weeks ago.

Off field, the guys one of the best. Giving him time + name to good causes.

Agree that last week wasn't his worst game for the year... but that's not saying much given how ordinary he's been on a regular basis over the last couple of years. Last week showed yet again that cloke cannot be relied upon to command a forward line anymore.
Best we get what we can for him this year, than he sit in the vfl again next year and leave for nothing as a free agent at the end of 2017.

No not like every other coach. There's a reason why collingwood has gone backwards under him year after year.

I think the best thing for Clokes on field footy is for him to go to another club that is contending and can use the footy CFC is a basket case at the moment . Bulldogs and the Demons would be a good fit, they use the ball well by foot.

The best thing for Collingwood is that he stays, he is a hard worker on and off the field and is a much loved club man from what I can tell. Has experience and still contributes to the club on and off the field.

So I suppose I am sitting on the fence.

I'd like him to stay. But hes been dropped three times this year, two of those times quite dubious decisions.

I said at the start of the year our main problem would be finding the right ruck/key forward combination. We are at the end of the season and we are still stuffing around with the right formula. White Cox Moore and Cloke have all been in and out of form and in and out of the team. Only Grundy has cemented his place and kept Witts out as a result.

So as much as I'd like Cloke to stay its clear that he is likely to go. Clearly the club has no confidence in him.

If Cloke's fate was not already sealed then that non effort to chase or pressure Dylan Grimes on the wing was the nail in the coffin.
To say that was weak was an understatement.

I hope you're right. Boyd will be a good player, but he's not what we need in a forward line which is increasingly becoming bereft of experience.

Travis Cloke - not good enough for Bucks, but good enough for Beveridge and his finals-bound outfit that have outclassed us with the speed and quality of their rebuild.

Is it because Bucks is conceding that we won't get near a flag while Cloke is around, while the Dogs know that they will be challenging the next few years?

i think it's strange that no-one appears to realise that it's up to cloke to make a decision in the first instance. If the club tells him that it will look for other forward combinations in 2017, then travis will have to choose whether he stays for a year or asks the club to be traded. The club can't unilaterally walk into a trading session with other clubs and trade him unless he agrees with it.

This means that the club wont be able to trade him to a club unless he really wants to go there. Melbourne could offer us Hogan and Viney for Cloke but unless Travis wants to go there, there is no trade because he has a contract with us. This probably means that all speculation about what we will get for him is pure fantasy...... but that doesnt mean I cant say that we should trade cloke with pick 23.3 for pick 15.4 and pick 43.332 ( I'm using decimals because I like to be precise)

My apologies. I am completely wrong in this situation and have no authority to be claiming such stupid comments. I actually couldn't tell you if Cloke kicks them ootf as I have my hands over my eyes everytime he's lining up.

I was probably just responding to your comments of 180 kicks = 100 goals. That would be OK if it wasn't over 5 years.
