Even though it was only a behind with that shot late in the game I was very impressed with how sellers won the ball in that moment, an ants player chipped what he thought was an easy and fairly short kick to a team mate, sellers charged through at full speed from a fair distance to intercept and run with the ball towards goal, a few inches to the left and there would be highlight videos all over this thread over what an awesome goal it was.

He's a bloody physical specimen.

Hes a meataxe, an awkward size as he’s more mobile than a 200cm type, but he’s got a vice like contested grab.

I’m convinced he’s Mihocek 2.0.

We need him ourely for the amount of long bombs we kick to a pack in the F50

Yep. That's not the body shape that needs to be held back if there is a hole. Get him in, move Zurhaar around the ball at will. Especially important if we are just unwilling to move Comben forward - to be fair, we need a type like Comben down back urgently at the moment.

his snap was a beauty and yes takes good grabs, looks to time his run at the ball pretty well,

3 ? Next 21 ! He'll kick 40+. Imagine the chopout for Nick. As the above picture shows he's got the body ( and the smarts )

VFL is slightly different to AFL, just slightly...

Answer is no, he won't just come in. He needs to bulk up, better conditioned and much greater levels of fitness.

Furthermore, for someone like Sellers to succeed, the coaching team needs to ensure he maximises his skill. So until seller develops at least one area to exceptional status, he will need continue his run in the vfl.

To elaborate, if sellers could bulk up and be the power fwd (e.g. walker) to complement the more mobile fwd in Larkey, then this would be a great partnership for the next 8 years.

to exceptional status ( like goalkicking ? )
. Bulk up

Sorry Comrade Chairman, that is an AFL body.View attachment 1938290
It’s an absurd assertion just like basically the rest of his posting.

If we were waiting for players to be certain weights the Stephenson would never play.

Shhh we are not allowed to mention players weights... ;)

You’d prefer CCJ up forward?

Need an actual forward to play along Larks. CCJ is simply not a forward.
CCJ might be the worst read of the ball in our (and maybe others) team. The number of times he leads at a ball only for it to go 5m behind him.

Get Sellers In

CCJ kicked nine in a game in the VFL last year and has been little more than useless in the AFL so there’s clearly a significant gap.

That said, Sellers couldn’t do any worse and structurally we need to do something so let’s give him a go.

iam still trying to figure out just which trait CCj has acheives "exceptional quality" in if its a prerequisite??
Falling Over? Negative meters gained??
For structure, and also knowing the footy god, as soon as ccj is pulled, xerri will do a serious injury. By then we are up s**t creek without a paddle.
the same would apply ( up $h1t creek) if X went down and we were playing CCJ.

Gee wizz those Sellers highlights are like a purposely assembled job application for the CHF position in our senior side.

Mark on lead? Check
Crumbing goal? Check
Opportunist snap? Check
Contested marks? Check
Using space and working in with the deliverer? Check

I watched and wanted him on our list then remembered he now is.
