360 question

just searching around for a 360, and i found a good deal for an arcade xbox with gta 4 and halo 3. it is 499 for the pack, though concerned about the arcade xbox, are thse really crap?? i dont mind if i dont have online cos i want to get it modded, could i get extra memory if i got it modded?

Modding probably isn't the best idea if your buying halo and gta4, both have live multiplayer modes that shit all over the actual game... I'm all for modding, and despise the fact that you have to pay a subscription to play live but, at the end of the day, it's very, very enjoyable.

Go to a GAME and buy the 360 Pro + GTA IV for 499, way better deal. Arcade box I believe doesn't comne with a HD at all? That means you won't be able to play online anyway I think, so if you want to mod the arcade might be the way to go?

thanks alot for that, thats a very nice deal. whats the deal with xbox live do i get a free subscripton? thinking of also buying one on ebay, there pretty cheap and they usually come with a few games for the same price?

Not a good idea, unless you know how to fix a RROD (which apparently is pretty damn easy).

Good point, if you mod it and it RROD's on you (and it will in all likelihood) - you won't be able to get it fixed.
