Thought this thread needed a bump.

How's everyones phones going ? Jailbroken, how'd you get it done ? What are the best things to get using the programs like cydia ?

redsnow 0.8. Takes literally about 1 minute to do. Too easy,

With Cydia, it doesn't really have apps you 'need', or that everyone needs. You have to go through yourself and find the stuff that appeals to you.

Everything has a description...just install it and try it out.

i personally use irealsms, but i think bitesms is similar.

basically, you can quicksend/quickreply from the lockscreen.

so instead of unlocking the phone, loading your messages, then replying, you can just quickreply from the lockscreen. you can also quicksend. for example, i double tap the home button, and it loads a pop-up box. it brings up your contacts, and you start typing.

saves me a lot of time, and just makes texting a lot easier.

jailbreaking and unlocking through redsn0w is easy. it's idiot proof.

Jalibroken means cydia. Unlocked is carrier ulocked, so any sim will work.

Qtweeter is a pretty slick instant Facebook and twitter app.

At anytime you hold your finger from the top and run your finger down to bring up the screen. You can upload pics and post simultaneously to Facebook and twitter. Pretty cool for social network nerds like me.

Jailbreaking allows you to install software that apple won't allow. Example = cydia, cycorder, Nes, etc. And yes Installous can be installed also.

Unlocking means you can insert any sim card with any carrier and your phone will work.

Its for those who wanted to put like a 3 sim, or anything other than AT&T in the US, You would by an outright iPhone. Unlock it and stick your own sim in.

anyone know of a good intelliscreen equivalent for free... just for the date, time, and any sms/emails.

Also, I load up cycorder and it just goes to a black screen and then back to home - all my other apps have worked without a hitch.
