What do we expect from him?

With Heath Shaw coming back in for the Anzac Day clash, is it Jaxson that has to show more than say Toovey and Goldsack in order to keep his spot?

We've heard about his pace being so explosive, but we've also heard about his kicking efficiency and technique issues.

All i'm hoping for is for him to have a huge crack at it tonight.

I can actually see that he may have been brought in to play as a tagger, something that we've tried with Wellingham and Cook in the past without great success.

Maybe he'll be given a run with role on Rich or Sherman or Power, due to his size these are the most suitable matchups i can see.

Whoever his opponent is, all the very best to Jaxson tonight! Do the jumper proud son!

I agree with your tagger call.

Ben Johnson had Gary Ablett for most of the 1st quarter last week, and kept him to 4 disposals, so Barham is most probably his replacement.

With Brisbane's midfield and running half backs, there are plenty of options for Barham, I'd prefer him on a Rich, Drummond or Adcock, as he will be able to also hurt these players when we have the ball.

I hope they dont just play him once then drop him, they gave Brad Dick 2 games and he was very ordinairy, so surely Ricky's boy deserves the same.

Either way, good luck Jaxson, great to see him getting a game.

No matter where he plays you know he is going to have a crack! He goes in hard and is lightning quick. Wouldnt be surprised if he went up to Jonathan Brown and Bopped him one, just seems to have that mean streak in him which I like! Bar Up little Jaxson :D

I've got the feeling he'll go to Johnstone. Seems like the best match-up for him IMO.

i had a read of the vfl report from last week and it said that Jaxson tagged Tenace from Geelong, so that evidence would show that he will be used on a carrier of the ball more so than an extractor/inside midfielder type of player.

I can feel he is going to have a cracker tonight, i have high hopes for him..
Looking forward to his first game :thumbsu:

Hopefully he can establish himself as the tagger we most desperately need !

Go Jaxson! Make the black and white army proud of you!
Should be a good game and hopefully the pies will lift a bit and put a few more quarters together.

yeah i think he may tag power TBH, i hope he goes to Black and tears him a new one but i dont think thats going to happen.
Good luck Jaxson!:thumbsu:

Love him.

Needs to improve his disposal and decision making but he is quick, runs all day, agile and his defensive pressure is A+++++.

We've found a potential tagger imo.

Spitting image of the old man - runs like a racehorse, disposal all over the place and wears 43 to boot! Luv it!

9 clangers....a suspected as much.

If he can improve his disposal we will have an absolute superstar on our hands imo.

Can see a touch of Dane Swan in him personally.

Yeah was impressed with the guy, first time I have seen him really. He looks good, good hard at it player, love it! and he is fast which is a plus. I am confident his disposal will get better with age, experience and more time pumping that iron. I like.

If he's going to get that many touches each week his kicking is a serious issue. His engine and work ethic however were sensational! Would like to see him back next week because I think we really lack a Barham type player when coming up against Essendon

barham isn't my favorite young mid, i think guys like sidebottom and mccarthy and hopefully rounds/wellingham etc will eventually jump him, but isn't it fantastic to see a guy come in and play for his life? it's still up in the air whether he'll make it or not, but if he can continue to improve he'll be a valuable player to compliment our more silky mids.

Great Work Barham! He did very well tonight and showed us he deserves to be in the team.
Needs a little work on disposals, but his tackling and effort to get the ball was great :thumbsu:

And isnt it great when we beat Brisbane... .especially at their home ground. Onya Boys! :D

If he chooses to, he will make it. When i say chooses to he will have to spend every hour rehearsing that kick. The good thing is we have the appropiate coaching staff to make it happen. It will be hard for Mick to not give him another go against essendon. However we need to make way for sidebottom. Lets see how our reserves go for us.
