We have an investment property in Melbourne which was vacated in April due to covid-19 (students lost their casual jobs and moved home). It's now been let (at a lower rent) but we were told that there were strict processes in place for viewings - no open house, each group had to have separate appointments, social distancing, no viewings until the property was vacated. Is open house now allowed?

Yes. One of my friends attended a couple this week - everyone had to hand sanitise, take shoes off and there was a limit on how many could go in at the one time.

This season will have no integrity if teams are selected from a list of 26. It won't just be us, though we're the first to be affected by it.

Definitely going to have an asterisk next to whoever takes the premiership.
I don't agree with that. The rule was already clarified from the beginning. The competition will never be equal due to various factors and that's something we have to accept. For example, certain teams play home games at the grand final venue.
Certain teams like Collingwood, GWS and Essendon are more disproportionately impacted by injuries than say Richmond and Geelong who almost always have their star players out on the park. To me, this is similar to a team having a bad injury.

Pick the 26, try our best and see how things go. It's much easier than impacting 17 other clubs.

I went with my daughter to look at a rental on Thurdsay - 20 people, at least, coming and going through the unit.

I don’t understand, if the mentioned players test negative why do they have to isolate? That’s what happened in Bundeslinga when a player tested positive. Apologies if already explained soo many pages and opinions on this subject
Maybe I’m being optimistic, but if you test negative you’re in the clear and incubation is not required.
I geuss we’ll get an update this afternoon.

You often don't return a positive test until a up to a fortnight after contracting the virus, the tests are very unreliable in the early phases of the disease because there isn't enough of the virus in your body at that stage to be picked up. In McKenna's case it may well have been over a fortnight if he caught it while overseas.

Woosha and Truck playing 3D chess

1. Infect the team with COVID-19 early in the year
2. Have games postponed due to players being unavailable until later in the year
3. Create herd immunity within the club
4. Later in the year as more and more clubs have infected players, we have a full playing list available due to said herd immunity and in front of crowds
5. Win the premiership
6. Revel in the salty tears of supporters as the 'dopers' win a premiership that technically counts but has a massive asterisk, completing the irony of ironies

The master plan, 8 years in the making

Think the state/federal restrictions, and the restrictions the afl players agreed to are different (afl being stricter).
I agree with the foster parents one - from my understanding, I would’ve thought that would be allowed. Assuming the open house is the bigger issue...

no clear guidance was given it seems

McKenna, whose lease on the house he lives in is coming up, has admitted he went to a house inspection on Wednesday.

Under the AFL's guidelines, which are stricter than the rules imposed on members of the general public, players are allowed to "move house (including house inspection if selling)". The guidelines do not specify the rules about inspections for those who are renting.

There is discussing the details and there is trying to push a sensationalist narrative. The Tom Browne angle is pretty poor.

But are you surprised ? They have to push that angle or they are replaced by someone who will. Tom got a bit of stick from Eddie on MMM for saying he would not have asked Stevens about details of the stabbing when he was door stopped at Geelong training. It is the way it is with over 2500 accredited journo's all scrambling for an angle or scoop.

So, one player who doesn't even want to be here long term has royally f’ed us for 2 games?
We can't catch a break.

He won't be last player to break restrictions. Let's hope he's the only case of covid tho.
ZBK already suspended for the same crime. Just lucky he did not catch it.

Not at all but that wasn’t really my point. Anyway, **** rona eh?

They said a chunk of your good players could miss so is Devon smith going to be quarantined and miss next week?
Haven’t seen his name get thrown around, don’t worry your SuperCoach is fine. Heck, it’s probably better than fine as he’ll probably get more midfield minutes.
