Big rumours in Ireland that McKenna is going back to Australia. Sounds a done deal with talk here. Essendon first dibs and take him back?

I think since he's been out of the game for more than 12 months he'd be able to come back directly as a free agent via the supplemental selection period (Mumford rule). Whether he chooses to come back to Essendon, who knows. Although he did leave his car at the Hangar at the time.

Given the state of affairs at the club I wouldn’t even say it’s likely although we might be willing to simply out bid the other clubs.

only thing I can see is if Jones gets Carlton a compensation pick, Conor would get us one (same principle).

Depending what type of contract he signs and given his age (also placed quite highly in our BnF in '18 and '19....9th then 4th), I'd expect 23 as the pick.
