I think it was always his goal to try and get both – though even for an ordinary player in either code it's not a given you'd even have one premiership medal, let alone one in each code.

Tadhg Kennelly is his role model I think, Kennelly won the '05 premiership with the Swans and won the SAM in '09 with Kerry. He only ever played for those two clubs though. Kerry > Sydney > Kerry > Sydney.

Conor left us when we had the turmoil of 2020 though, and with the way we're going now I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't so interested in coming back here.

Imagine the TV cameras cutting to our players on the phone with Conor with a bewildered look on their face.

Significant upgrade in Hind if he came back to us. Not buying in to the Geelong link based on Kelly alone. I mean, Brisbane are also apparently keen, he knocked them back once already didn't he? He also has a link with Daniher. Port also keen, has a link to Fantasia.

Think all of that means SFA to be honest. We can afford to throw some decent coin his way if need be, he's played his whole career with us, so I think we have as good a chance as anyone to sign him up. Unless our recent turmoil puts him off, but I think the club can also turn that into a positive, as in the club is heading towards a more professionally run outfit as far as focusing on winning games of football. I hope!

A shot at a flag would be his only reason. Clearly he wouldn’t get paid as much at Geelong as other sides so not really sure that’s actually going to happen.
