Recruited from: Claremont (WAFL)/Geelong (AFL)

Coming from Western Australia and having played with Claremont in the WAFL, for the Claremont colts in 2006 he averaged 16 disposals and 5 tackles per game. Bedford is a 20-year old wingman/half back who stands at 180cm and is noted for his exceptional pace and play-reading ability. He was taken with the 23rd pick in the 2006 Rookie Draft. He was then said delisted by the Cats but was expected tto be redrafted by Geelong. Liam Bedford was then taken at Pick number 2 in the 2009 Rookie Draft by the best team of all the West Coast Eagles Football Club. Apparently he was a big eagles fan before he left to Geelong.

[FONT=&quot]Liam played in the 2007 VFL Grand Final for Geelong, where Geelong won the game 17.24. 126 to Coburg Tigers 7.10.52. Liam played an important part in the season but was limited to 13 games because of injury, but was named in the best players list for 5 games. [/FONT]

yea i thought he looked a bit Indian to be honest but i found many pages saying he is a aboriginal even on wikipedia he was under aboriginal AFL players and then i found this.

Liam Bedford has now played 2 games of WAFL this year he was injured early in round 1 against Subiaco but has come back in round 4 to have a alright game against East Fremantle.

Meh you never know if those guys will really amount to anything BB. I'd be more concerned if we fail to make something our of our national draft picks.

Rookie draft is moreso for project players (as i see it) so if this one doesnt come off i wont lose too much sleep over it. We experimented with a player that could fill our needs for the crumbing forward role. Of the 3 Nahas would be the one i'd have possibly taken over Bedford.

you can also add garlett,sibosado or even wade thompson to that list but i still think bedford will improve this season but wont get a game this year.

I really highly rate Garlett.

Will be a gun.

Hopefully Bedford is better, but who knows at this stage.

From memory Freo took Sibosado with their first pick, so it was a case of us choosing Cockie or Sibosado and i'm happy with who we got.
