Leads our tackle count each and every year. Your stats fail to mention he also dominated our clearance count. Interesting to see he also ranks highly in the 1% category as well.
On the flip side, i think he led our clanger count as well.

Also, big effort from Medders. He doesnt get a lot of cheap marks, most of his are on a hard lead.
Unlike Clinton Young who led the marking department most of the year, yet failed to take 1 contested mark...Medhurst works very hard for his marks. I reckon he'd lead the AFL for kicks to a players feet, kicks over a players head etc as well.

yeah its impressive by o'bree on paper, but i've watched him shirk physical contests, and can't help but wonder whether those tackles came about because he was 2nd to the ball in the guts.
leon led the tackle count last year from memory, and since many come from long chases, that was a very worthy stat.
o'bree in my mind isn't in our best 22.

I wish people would back the **** off O'bree!!! The guy is an excellent player and maligned because he doesn't do the flashy things. He does a hell of a lot for the team and gets mercilessly written for it!!! If you watch him closely - which I doubt many of his detractors do - he is almost always involved in our clearances from the centre either initiating it or being a link in it. And if he isn't directly involved he is doing the selfless one percenters (like the tackle and block stats illustrate) that helps our other midfielders win the clearances. Our team would be a lot worse off without O'bree!!! AND he is definately in our best 22!!!
