Did I miss the Essendon win?

Also, Butterfly Effect. If Sydney knew we are only 2 points behind and they may play Tippett and Hannebery, put in a bit stronger effort to the end, and win.

I don't like to live in an ifs and buts world, though.

It's in the past, who cares. Should we win tommorow we'll play the loser of either Sydney (who SCG aside we have the edge over) or Hawthorn who we well and truly have the wood over in recent encounters.

Agreed! FIiiiiinnally someone says what is so obvious.

This is seriously my pet hate in sport.

Jack kicks 3 points in the first minute of the game and goes on to kick 7.3. Nuff nuffs claiming he should have kicked 10! Wait what? Are you aware of how impossibly small the chances are that he gets all those exact chances...not to mention that the ball goes back into the middle of the ground and is thus actually impossible to then have the sae sequence of events following of that. Im raging! This really grinds my gears.

Inb4 crazies are claiming that if the the umpire hadnt kicked the ball back into play against freo we would be top 4 as well! FuuuuuuUUUUuuuuu!!!

Dont think we were ready to finish top 4 this year. Maybe next year. Lets just focus on winning our first final then anything after that will be a bonus.

We dodged a bullet guys! I have done the calcs, and had we won the game against Carlton the plane was due to crash against on the way to Sydney last week. A cruel twist of fate indeed. Lucky we lost! And lucky I can tell the future...coz I'm winning the lotto tomorrow! :D

It's just a massive opportunity lost. The path had opened up for us and we had it in our hands. Any team finishing int the top 4 this year is a serious chance of winning the flag. No team has a genuine claim as all have serious flaws. We would have faced the hawks with no franklin and then most likely freo at the G. Two games that have a lot in our favor. A genuine grand final appearance was extremely achievable for us. That Carlton match was all ours until we took the foot off the pedal and let them back into it

That loss to carlton just cost us 4th place. Could be playing hawthorn next week, team which we have beaten by 10 goals twice in a row - with franklin out.

Massive opportunity lost :(
Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda, Maybe's, these cost us a spot in the eight last year, this year we are in the eight! lets just win the first week in finals!

There is no way Sydney would have lost tonight if they were playing for top 4. It wasnt a high pressure game at all, If the swans were desperate they could have won easily.

Lots of things could have changed the course of the season. That lose could potentially be the kick up the butt that we needed and bring us into a golden run of form. Who Knows?

I am confident in the Tiges to beat whoever they are presented with on the day and if they don't I will be there to cheer them off the field at the end.

Rance and our backs have comfortably beaten the Hawks forward line twice in a row, They are more than capable of doing that again regardless of who is in their team.

You are thinking glass half full, think of it as putting finals pressure on ourselves from round one and not getting the easy run. We need that experience and we need to show we are worthy of winning in straight sets. I am sure we will play a lot better this way and will learn more from it than playing the hawks with a second chance thrown in (as silly as it sounds).
