Was the property a station stay at all?
I can’t find much information on the station at all. As has been mentioned there could be shearer’s staying as it’s a sheep station and it is shearing season.

Official SAPOL statement

The most difficult thing for them would have been working out what direction to search for him in. With no tangible evidence it really is a mystery.

I know a lot of stations are stays but I can’t find much information about this station neither. Workers possible.

Not that anyone has suggested this here but elsewhere the idea of wild dogs is being put forward. That property's ringed in behind the dog proof fence.

If any domesticated dogs have turned, they'd know about it pretty quick. Professional hunters are also employed across that region to kill wild dogs.

As the ses guy pointed out yesterday no sign of anything that would be likely to hang around a dead body.

he following statement can be attributed to Deputy Commissioner Linda Williams.

As mentioned on Friday, the search for 4-year-old Gus Lamont was scaled back following medical experts advice that there was little hope for us to find Gus alive.

Despite that, SAPOL continued the search for three more days with a significant search presence until Friday afternoon. The investigation is now being managed by Missing Persons Section, which is part of Major Crime Investigation Branch, and that's where all long-term cases such as this are managed and investigated.

In addition to the search activity, there has been concurrent inquiries undertaken, which are continuing. Police are actively looking to rule out every investigation opportunity and will search the property when any potential evidence that could be connected to Gus is identified.

On Monday 6 October, a significant search was conducted after a small footprint was located around a dam about 5.5 kilometres west of the Homestead. The search involved numerous resources, including STAR, PolAir and a tracker. The footprint was subsequently found not to be related to Gus. (Note: This is not connected to the footprint discovered by searchers last week.)

On Friday and Saturday night, a significant aerial search of the property was conducted using a special drone with infrared capabilities. This is the same technology that was used in Port Lincoln for the remains of Julian Story. It's quite complex technology, so the results will take some time to work through, but police will investigate any findings through further searches.

We will never give up hope of finding Gus. There are further lines of enquiry being undertaken and the family have continued to cooperate with fully with police.

We still have a public appeal for anyone who has any information about Gus or any concerns, but we will be continuing this investigation and highlight that you may see some other activity up there from time to time, for example, when the results of this search by the drone have been completed.

Was he really in the sandpit at 5 pm that day? Could it be corroborated?
Having lived many years remote, one thing is that the days are not ruled by time, like they are in town. Time becomes elastic and immaterial in a remote house, the actual time doesn't matter or the date either. You can do what you want, when you want - freedom.

Do we know if Gus's biological parents live on the same property?
My wife heard that the father lives in sa suburb in Adelaide, I haven’t heard that mentioned

Reading between the lines of this article, yes Gus's father doesn't live on that property.

Mr O’Connell said he and his partner were joined in the search on Monday night by Gus’ father.
“It pretty much devastated him. (It’s) his little boy and he’s pretty close to his son,” he said.
The Advertiser attended the home of Gus’s father on Monday.
A neighbour said the family were still “up north” on the property where Gus disappeared and were “nice people”.
“He (Gus) was a nice young kid,” they said.
“I’ve known them all for years, the parents, the grandparents.
“They’re nice people.”

In this 7 news article it is stated that Gus's mum and grandparent's were at the property at the time Gus went missing.

The Advertiser published a story and mentioned maternal grandmother's name. If you do some digging you can find a little info for that side of the family. It's a little well ummm odd.

Left alone for just half an hour, he was gone by the time his grandmother, Shannon, returned about 5.30pm. The sun was sinking fast, slipping below the horizon at 6.16pm, and panic set in.

Correspondence would be key in recent days, I reckon absolute triangulation out there would be tough but pings in the perimeter maybe useful.
Theres a couple of tower at Nackara near the highway to the West which would provide coverage for some or all of the property. The tower at Yunta would not cover the property at all I would think.
So, my approach (if I were police) would be to contact everyone whose phone pinged the Nackara tower, but did NOT ping the Yunta tower shortly before or after - as that would indicate they were in the area that day and not just passing through. If you entered the property from the highway with an active cell phone you would definitely ping the Nackara tower at some point.

Bang, great process of elimination, tighten the scope of your collect.

Wouldn't place much interest in what Jubelin says.
He has completely lost all trust and now is a media mole.
Gary " I believe police are looking into Foul play".
When no body is found of course police look into Foul play, thanks Gazza.
Yeah had to ROFL when I read this bit...he needs to just completely retire from mentioning any sort of crime.

The fact that they’re doing that, I think (is) lessons perhaps learnt from the William Tyrrell investigation, where the whole focus was on finding the little boy lost.

If only someone with police connections was on this forum ... we might know if they are doing this. But then again we are just a bunch of rabid keyboard warriors so why pay any attention to us?
We’re not as rabid as some on Facebook, we all seem to have a genuine interest in seeing this solved.
