They've got dogs too ... not one of them trailed after him?
Lots of people have both pets and working dogs so nothing definitive in it, but working dogs are generally secured in separate “runs” when they’re not working so I wouldn’t expect them to be out wandering with the kids regardless.

I listened to a clip today that said he was playing with the dogs but it was the first time I'd heard that information. It seemed as if it might be correct because I've seen a picture of the grandmother with two loose dogs around her.

I read that the drone can show areas where there is unexpected new plant growth, which may be caused by the release of nitrogen from a decomposing body below.
Lot of variables on that scenario, timing, rain/sunshine, decomposition rate, potential burial….that would be quite quick for that to happen

Not sure if it’s been mentioned here but is there any truth to the daily mail article about Gus living with two grandmothers because one of them is transgender? Also heard an unverified rumour that the dad doesn’t live at the property as he issues with the trans grandparent. Seems the family dynamic is not as straight forward as others.

Police stating they don't suspect Foul play,
What the police say in public is one thing, until the body is found I’d say anything is possible. Could also be a ploy to make potential culprits feel comfortable.

Yes from media reports Gus lives with his Mum and brother on the property and with his two Grandmothers Shannon and Josie Murray who are Gus’s Mum’s biological parents and Dad lives elsewhere because he doesn’t get along with Josie.

Not every committed loving couple live together full time. Gus’ dad could be living where his work is and maybe Gus’ mum works on the farm 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I know that I’m was just seeking clarification on the dynamic as the articles I had seen were behind a paywall and wasn’t sure even if the snippets I’d seen were true as they were from trashy news sites.

Come on Stimpy, no need to play dumb. The important question is whether any of it is directly related to Gus disappearing?

I can never trust daily mail articles. But yes the dynamic of this family does piqued my interest in the disappearance especially if the dad has chosen not to live there. Would hate for poor Gus to have been a pawn in a family breakdown.

Just looking at images around the property on the news. The saltbush there is of significant size which would definitely make searching more difficult, one step in the wrong direction and you could easily miss a small boy hiding under one. Parts of the property appear to have mallee trees too but with not a lot of plants underneath to hide.

Sadly, he's no longer 'hiding', if he ever was. His little body may be hidden from sight, but it wasn't detected by infrared searches early on, and hasn't been detected by search dogs or cadaver dogs (I'm presuming both have been used around the property).
From 5pm on the Saturday until the next morning, how far could he have actually gotten on foot on his own in the dark? No more than a few km if that, surely? This is not beyond the capacity of the large numbers of searchers provided. Police concluded he was 'not there'.
The remaining possibilities are that he was removed from the property by a person or persons unknown, or his body has been deliberately concealed in the property to avoid discovery.

Was the family friend actually saying people from the entrance to the property, have to get out and open and close six gates to get to the homestead?
Yes, that is what he was saying and that is not unusual, some properties might have cattle grids or solar gates. But there are no cattle out there and grids dont work that well with sheep. And solar gates are expensive.

So some of the most experienced detectives have mentioned possibilities such as third party involvement and wild animals.
I’m assuming that Detectives would also have to rule out a combination of possible scenarios.
I’m pretty sure the police chief came out yesterday and said there was no suspicion of foul play,

I understand a massive property like that would probably have a lot of gates but I was referring to the idea of anybody driving in to the homestead from the main, needing to open and close six gates.

Seems inefficient.
