It was a 2-3 week injury that will be reduced to 3 weeks with surgery. Hmmm. Atleast he gets a good rest to finish off the season strong.

If we were playing anyone else i would suggest bringing in Steiny (probs leading the B&F at CHB in VFL) and swinging Hurls forward.
However against the Swans, who'll will have Tippett in by then it seems, this would mean Steiny vs. Franklin.
The prospect of that does not excite.

But IF it all goes right that he might only miss the Swans game and then have a good run at it before the finals. Still will be able to do fitness work and shouldn't lose too much strength (LOL) and conditioning...

Tough injury.. but we are doing ok on that front this year.. compared to some...

It's frustrating. If it was anyone besides Sydney you'd take the punt on Hurley going forward and Steinberg or Pears playing down back and holding their own. But even though Buddy will probably get the best of Hurley, god knows what he could do to Pears or an inexperienced Steinberg.

Seriously - You have to play your best defender on Buddy - And that's Hooker.

No, you play your defenders on who they're suited to. Talia was Adelaides best defender but a lousy choice for Buddy as he was too slow, like Hooker is.
