Harry Cunningham

Player Profile

Harry Cunningham is one of the quickest players at the Sydney Swans, is clean by hand and foot and can play in defence, on a wing and in the forward line. The 2012 draftee was in blistering form over the opening seven rounds of the 2019 campaign, before injury limited him to just two games over the remainder of the season, so expect him to be hungry for a comeback 2020 year. Draft history: 2012 Rookie Draft selection (Sydney) No. 93; 2012 AFL Draft rookie elevation (Sydney) selection No. 107

Harry Cunningham

DOB: 06 December 1993
DEBUT: 2012
DRAFT: 2012
RECRUITED FROM: Turvey Park (NSW)/NSW-ACT U18/Wagga (NSW)

I can't see either happening, nice guys finish last ☹️
When I go back through those GF's we lost and those who I really want to win, Harry is near the top of my list. Seems like a really decent human being and far out we need more like him these days.

Top 3 players I wanted/want to see win a flag in no particular order:

Harry Cunningham
Ben McGlynn
Dane Rampe

2 out of 3 still a chance 🤞🤞

**** I love Harry. Such a top bloke.

He's been working with the W program over the off-season. I guess this coming season could be his last.
Probably. Been a true servant and by all accounts an absolutely delightful fellow.

People say you can't say anything bad about Harry, but really? Apparently invades people's personal space, makes them nervous and uncomfortable, affects their work. Known around other clubs as an issue. League refuses to acknowledge it.

Charlie Cameron the biggest victim of this.

Mate, you had me going for a moment.

So he gets in a few opposition players ear and puts them off their game.
Welcome to the real world. Its sport it is competitive. Things are said.
You are an adult and unless it crosses the line then deal with it.

I think you missed the joke. Harry is a great defender, doesn't give much space to oppo forwards, especially Cameron. Zero Brownlow votes for it.

Like he was never gone. Even played forward for a bit.
I have been wanting him to return.
He has real pace. A closing speed second to none. He is very smart.
Has played all over the park in his career.
He can lockdown the best smalls. Kick goals.
I can't believe it took this long to get him back.
He is going to be needed in the next 3 weeks in the games against GC, GWS & WB.

I loved the look of sheer joy on his face when he kicked the goal, and absolutely loved it when just about everyone in the team ran over to congratulate him. He seems to be very much loved by his team mates.

Cunners been here for over a decade now so would be part of a tight group

Can't underestimate the degree of difficulty to basically find out you are playing after the sides already warmed up.

Rosa's Jr literally was out at the last possible moment wasn't he? He was fully kitted .

Apparently he was still warming up half way through the first quarter but you wouldn't know it. Slotted straight into to a relatively unfamiliar position and didn't miss a beat. A true professional.

Same with Lloyd, not stars of the comp but they can plug in where needed and worse case you get a solid performance.

Rosas out maybe 15 minutes pre first ball up. Roughly the same time as Daicos was out but everyone knew Daicos was cooked with about 90 minutes before first ball up so Allan had more time to warm up.

Cunners had way more of an impact than Allan who looked like a lost sheep
