7 bloody months! It's going to be a long off-season, dunno what will keep me sane during the summer. **** the cricket, wish footy was all year round, even though the players might disagree. :p

This is good

The players need to have this pain fester in every memory they have fir the next 7 months to push them to train harder, work harder, and truly commit to the cause

If this farce isn't enough to motive them, I don't know what is

Early preseason start I say. Once the club sets the date I would love to see the team collectively come back a week earlier by their own choice. That gesture would show they mean business. Unfortunately I expect all we will see is meaningless talk again just like last year without anyone doing anything different.

haha I said at quarter time we should just make them all run back to Punt Road .... I like what your saying but think your also right. Our leadership group should set an example and just rock up early and get the ball rolling. Also this whole process of the young guys train first and then the old guys get eased into the preseason needs to stop. If you cant do a full preseason because your getting older then you should bloody retire.

Seems like last pre-season did the exact opposite, but I agree. In all honestly it was a bit delusional to think that our run could of continued, players gave it their all in the last 9 weeks. Today was a very mediocre performance, but at least we showed heart in the second half of the sesson when many clubs would have thrown in the towel, it was something we haven't seen from Richmond in over 30 years; some fight! The first half of next year will really show us if we have learnt from the trainwreck that was rounds 1-14 of 2014.

Like last year? :p

Last year was different, we tried and choked. It sucked, it was humiliating, but they tried

Can you name five guys today who can look themselves in the mirror tonight and say "I left it all out there today, I gave all I could"?

And I don't mean in terms of execution, I mean purely effort.

Today IMO most of the players will look back knowing it wasn't that they choked, or were out psyched by another team, they will look back wondering what the **** they were thinking to be so piss weak today.

Everyone fails in life, that's part of the experience we all go through. Failing because of lack of commitment though, that's something more

I'd say Deledio, Grimes, Rance, Gordon, Miles could say they gave it their all. The rest of them were fricken gutless. I was just being sarcastic though because of all the comments both over pre-season and this week about how much last year hurt them, when really it doesn't seem like it did.

Reckon your being generous with grimes, and I'd say only patches for Rance and flash. No argument on lids and miles

I still think last year was different. Blues ****ed them, today they self administered the dildo

It'll go something like this:
September: Watching another team win the flag
October: Trade period
November: Video game releases :)
December: Playing my games :D
January: Maybe getting some sun :p
February: NAB Challenge :drunk:
March: Countdown to the season
April: FOOTY'S BACK! We come out and destroy Carlton by as many goals as Port kicked on us today. I can only dream. ;)

At no stage will it involve watching another sport. Footy rules all, even if Richmond aren't ruling the AFL.

I thought Grimes did some good stuff today. Took some good marks and at least competed. Rance wasn't his best (dropped a few that he's been taking) but can't question his effort, and I thought Gordon was good with limited supply. Jack was a bit the same.

No one in the backline can hold their head up high today. How often were they 5m+ from their men, allowing uncontested marks, and allowing port free men. They hurt us with their LMID today, yet it seemed like they also had a LMIA for all the 2-1 match ups we had against us in our backline

As for the forwards, yes the mids did them no favours with the shit delivery, but there was not a single defensive mindset among the lot of them. The ball rebounded out of our forward line far too easily, and usually with SFA pressure

I think Houli was probably our best and the only player that gave it his all, There were times where the ball just didnt bounce his way but - Boy he had a crack

Yeah good point. Thought he had a shocker of a first half but it wasn't through lack of effort.

Yep, one of the few who looked like he was trying to take the game on

Back to EPL, watching replays of our wins and trawling through the boards for the latest rumours of who we're going to pick up/trade for :D

Plenty of TV shows coming up for me to get onto as well

Oh damn i forgot we had to wait longer for footy to return next year, im going to need some therapy in the coming months to deal with no football :)
If you find you're missing footy just replay yesterday's game. Aversion therapy they call it.

Had no idea who he was and had to look him up. Took notice of him and I reckon he was Richmond's BOG by a landslide.
