This year we've had over 782K fans attend Essendon games up to Round 16.

Amazing considering we went on a 8 game losing streak and play the majority of our "home games" at a stadium that doesn't hold much more than 50K.

At this rate we're on target to reach the 1 million spectators with games against Collingwood, Bulldogs and St Kilda to come.

Looking at yesterday's crowd yes it was disappointing but at the same time when you look at the overall picture our support this year has been brilliant.

When up and running in a year or so time we'll be back to NUMBER 1. (imagine playing Geelong, Roos, Dogs and Saints, Hawks at the G instead of the Dome)

btw what a terrible attendance for the Hawks (3rd) v Saints (8th) last night. Just over 41K

Excellent figures, considering we've been in the bottom 6 the whole year.

No other club bar collingwood could draw those figures in that position.

Can I just say though, our AWAY support at the MCG (bar anzac day) in recent years has been disappointing.

Dunno what the problem is but our numbers are really down for away games.

It wasn't as evident yesterday as it was against Carlton at the AWAY game couple of weeks back but yes again wasn't great.

I`ve followed Essendon for 3 and a half decades, it is a proven fact that we have the most loyal supporters in the league, collingwood are probably our equals. We have the largest core of supporters who will turn up week in week out no matter what is on offer. It is one of the many reasons why I love this club.

Good to see we still in the Top 3 in terms of attendance.

Oh and 41k is actually pretty good in the Dome.

If Collingwood is up and running at the Same time as Essendon are, Collingwood will still be No.1. Collingwoods attendances are Sensational and the pies are on Target to break the All-time attendance Record set last year by Collingwood of 1,226,604. Collingwood are set to Break the 1.3 Million mark and we are currently 5th. Could you imagine if Collingwood were in the top 2!

Your members reserved seat area on level 1 looked half empty to me.
