That the last three games have been victories, and have also been the three games missed by our B&F from 2003 Mark Coughlan .... mere coincidence, I know.
It might, however, finally reveal one key thing to our match committee (especially in conjunction with the omission of an injured Campbo today) - that picking injured players must come to an end, not only for the sake of the individual himself but, more importantly, for the on-field performance of the Tigers.
One thing that hasn't been coincidental over the last three weeks, I reckon, has been the inclusion in those three games of Rory Hilton. I remember posting in the pre-season on a thread specifically designed for such an issue that if I could choose ONE Richmond player to step up in 2004, I'd have picked Rory.
He is the X-Factor. A very damaging utility type, hard to man up on, and probably the most "Brisbane-like" of our players when creating havoc.
His influence has been subtle, but very significant.
