I have done this with the old AFL games (AFL 2004, P.E. and 2005) and I imagine it would work for this game as well.

This is a good way to have a realistic, fun competition, without it being too easy or too hard.

1st Q:- Sim and watch

2nd Q:- Play as home team

3rd Q:- Play as away team

4th Q:- Sim and watch

Doing this will throw up a lot of interesting results, and all sorts of margins.

It is best to play it with 10 minute quarters and time-on.

or alternatively,

1st Q:- Play as home team
2nd Q:- Play as away team
3rd Q:- Play as home team
4th Q:- Play as away team.

Give it a try, and tell me what you think!

One way I played with a mate was to play it like rugby, where you have to pass backwards. The only time you can go forward in once you enter the forward 50, and have a shot at goal.

It's really difficult, as you conceded lots of ground, and have to try and shrug as many tackles as you can.
