Take that, Robert Walls!

After some caffine and brainstorming today, I got this shirt made at Broadway. It's my response to the whole Walls saga. Did not wish to give him the satisfaction of naming him on my shirt, yet found a way to convey all my sentiments: who says I want to see pretty football, anyway?

Sure, it's only a t-shirt. A small victory for me and my beloved club, but one nonetheless.

So take that, Robert Walls! Maybe I like ugly football!
Love the shirt, looked great on you at the Aussie Rules Club.

Now about that email to Robert Walls............ got a reply yet :D

Wow, I just remembered this thread. Thanks to those who backed me up, to those who reacted, I only posted derogatory comments once someone labelled me with the Collingwood stereotype.

And I stand by my comments. I have watched RWO and seen many Sydney supporters bag the style of play, are these comments any less valid when the come from an opposition supporter?

I can understand why people get protective, we all feel that way towards our club. But as well as loving the Pies - I love the game and would love to see the code (rather than just the Swans) get a stronger foothold in Sydney. Sadly the style of play from the Swans at the moment is not helping that cause.

For those who sceptical, check some of my old posts where I have clearly demonstrated a supportive interest in the Swans and their ability to get hold of the Sydney market.

Regards

Thanks Cruiser and maybe like all other Sydney supporters you are new to the game, clap for behinds, yell "Ball" whenever someone is tackled and the the Western Bulldogs used to be called Canterbury. Get an understanding of the game.

Well I call them "ARSES" rather than "Behinds" because it sounds way more cool.

And I love it when the guys jump on each other and "CATCH" the ball!

But I only yell "BALL" when that tall bloke from that Perth team gets the ball.

Cant understand why we dont yell "BOOOOOOO" (or was it "ROOOOOOS") anymore

Bet you used to yell "Kick it" when that large Aboriginal guy from Essendon had the ball too

Did anyone see the Coach on Monday? Mike Sheahan showed a doctored photo with Wallsy sitting in this very t-shirt!

Well done Tuesday. You may have to start mass-producing the shirts ;)

Bump...

Well, the T-shirt that was the subject of this thread turned out to be a stroke of genius! Who would have guessed that the Swans would go on to win a premiership by kicking 8 goals? Their grand final score of 8.10 (58) was also their score in the infamous St.Kilda game that started it all.

Well done, Tuesday! ;)

...Well done, Tuesday! ;)

:) Thanks, SF83! It worked a treat. Most people don't get it up here in Sydney, but it's great to see the reaction from those who do. ;)

Thanks, SF83!

Who's that? We're on Bigfooty now ;)

I think the irony of us winning a premiership with 8 goals was what made me appreciate the message more. Gave it a new meaning. :)
