A comment was made during the game that this might turn out to be a coach killer. After tonight Carlton fans will be insisting on it being a whole match committee killer.

There is little doubt that if anyone out there has the guts to stand for President, we will be looking at a cleanout the likes of which have never been seen in the hallowed Carlton halls.

I won't beat about the bush here. Never ... NEVER have I been so embarrassed while watching my team in action. Too many players have no heart for the contest and the ones that do have no talent for the contest. Wayne Brittain has stated previously that we will throw the players around and see who wants to be here next year. He has his answer, not only do most of our fringe players not want to be here, our good players would rather be anywhere else and Britts himself has declared himself a non-starter by virtue of again throwing in the towel early in the game.

For the record, Collingwood recorded a record victory over the Blues in the most humiliating of fashion. The incredible aspect of it was that the clanger count for both sides suggested that the Pies may well have been beaten by many other sides but such was the level of Carlton's incompetence, the Pies fans will go home believing they are almost premiership favourites. Carlton on the other hand, even allowing for injuries have gone from being a very unlucky courageous side to the most pathetic wooden spooner in living memory.

Even when only pride was on the line in the final quarter, only a select few showed they had any. At one stage, I found myself hoping the loss would be extremely hurtful and telling so that heads would have to roll. I feel that has been accomplished well and truly. Let's ask why Collingwood were allowed to have Jason Cloke playing loose in defence while the Blues bombed the ball to 3 on 1 contests all night or worse still chipped the ball backwards only to turn it over. Why was Jimmy Plunkett on and off the ground despite being one of a rare breed that contributed something positive tonight? Why was Livingston taken off the ground when the ball wasn't even getting to him inside 50? Why was Camporeale allowed to play deep in defence? Why did Bradley get taken off Buckley after holding him reasonably well when given the task? Again I ask Britts, why was Jordon Doering dropped when we have such an obvious shortage of skilled players? Why do the players have no spirit? Why do the players not have a clue about positioning themselves on the ground?

For anybody wanting to hear about the game, I'm terribly sorry to disappoint ...... there was no game, just a nightmare that keeps recurring. I have supported this club and those that control it this season with my hand on my heart and a resolute gritting of the teeth. I must admit, my resolve has gone. I support the Navy Blue ship but I find myself not being so dedicated to the soulless bunch of individuals up on the poop deck!

My god, let's tear the sandcastle down and start again with bricks and mortar!
