Please bear with me. I have a slight story of my own.
In the 80's I was in the army. My mum wrote to me all the time.
It was a fair effort after a big stroke and having to learn to write with the opposite hand. I kept every letter. In the envelope.
For reasons unknown one of her letters found its way into my lounge which i found tonight. I've always promised myself that I'd read every one again.
So I thought I'd read it. It was stamped September 8, 1987
Attached is a clipping that was in the envelope.
This is sliding doors kind of stuff.
I just want to point out to whipper snappers that 50 goals from 15 games was ordinary. lol. The guy could play.
