Fisher's had a fantastic year, i think he should get in. Riewoldt's second half of the season has been wonderful and he deserves his spot. Maxie Hudgeton and Lenny have both been awesome this season but they're competing against some players who have had more productive years. What are your thoughts? I'd love to see Max finish off his career with an AA guernsey because from what i hear this will be his last season and he has a business to do with property or something.

Lenny and max will struggle.
Nick may get a spot on a HFF (Buddy FF, Fev FP, Brown CHF)
Can't believe they missed Gramy!!

sammy was unlucky last year i thought so lets hope he gets his reward for 2 fantastic seasons

Pratt's had a better year than Gram imo, not saying Gram hasn't had a good year, but there are players before him that should be picked.

Honelstly Rooey has had a better year than Johnathon Brown so really he shud get CHF. Having Brown on my dreamteam he really killed me late in the season and never really had a patch this season where he really tore it up so really Nick should get CHF. lets hope they dont pick him CHF just because his names Johnathon Brown

My take on this

Big Fish: The most deserving in my book. Has been superb all year, playing key defence, loose man and even in the midfield on occasion. Expect there to be pyromanic threats should he not be selected.

Roo: A great year as captain, but he did go fairly quiet for a patch. His kicking for goal is also a mark against him. Had a blazing finish though, which has left an impression. A lack of competition will help (doubts about Pav's ability to seal a match plus time in midfield, people seem to have gone quiet on Brown, possibly due to the Lions' finish and Bradshaw). Should make it, but CHF, flank or bench is the question.

Maxy: I'm awfully biased, being a big Hudghton fan, but I think he should be full back. Had his best year in ages (because he's been on the park for most of it), and has pantsed many an opposition forward. Scarlett is seen by many as a lock, but my read is that's based on reputation and rebounding ability while Taylor has handled the opposition's strongest forward frequently this year. All that being said, I sadly think he'll be overlooked. Love for him to make it though.

Lenny: Lenny's been great, but I think he'll be a victim of strong competition. Too many must haves, and he's never been flashy or as talked about. If he's truly desperate to make it should shave his head or dye his hair blond next season.

What does Milne have to do to get selected here ?

Has kicked more goals than all other small forwards, despite the fact that St Kilda use a slow, stilting game plan which allows other teams to push back and fill our defensive 50.

Joel Selwood ? Jesus, they love the Cats dont they ?

Franklin 102
Fevola 99
Bradshaw 75
Brown 70
Pavlich 67
Roughhead 66
LLoyd 62
Motlop 57
Riewoldt 56
Milne 54

S. Johnson 49
Medhurst 48

If you look simply at total goals - Milne & Motlop should get the 2 spots.

I dont think Milne does enough around the ground apart from being that goal sneak. He's very inconsistant, hot one week, cold the next. Like sport of kings said, doesn't kick goals against quality opposition and this will be display again this week i think because the Cats are exceptional at mopping up. However I think the main thing is Milne doesn't really get enough of the pill consistantly to take the next step up. He needs to work harder.

Mitchell>Hayes>Selwood>Judd this year imo.

I think our second game against carlton summed up Judd's year. Useless for 3 quarters and spanked by Gram, turns it on for half a quarter and Rob Walls and co orgasm. Been average this year I reckon.

Hayes is behind too many mids to make it, great year but it's a hotly contested field, Chips should definitely make it but will probs lose his place to Andrew Hackie or someone, Max Hudghton has been the best stopper this year and should make it, but again will probs miss out to someone like Harley, Riewoldt should be Captain and CHF, dunno if he'll get that but he should at least make it to the team.

Was surprised to see we had the 2nd most representatives behind Geelong. :thumbsu:
Rooey and Fisher i expect to be shoe-ins.
Max and Lenny may have a tough time breaking in there. Would be great to see one of them make it, but it's a long shot.

Milne is universally bagged and generally disliked, many peoples opinion of him is that he cherry picks off other peoples good work. Could you imagine Bigfooty if he made it, it would go into meltdown.

i know, the outrage would be unbelievable :p
all we can ask is for him to chase and tackle and be his usual "blowfly" best. but hopefully he can kick a couple and be useful because usually when milne is flying the team is up and about
