I still think this guy is worth holding on to but when do we decide when he has had long enough.

For the record:

He is 22 and has played 47 games.

Of these he has surpased 10 poss. 17 times and 20 once. His averages are: 5.66 kicks, 3.53 marks and 3.38 handballs. he has kicked 16 goals.

These stats are pretty poor but i still think he is worth persisting with. I an just surprised he has not shown more toughness/mongrel being a port adelaide boy.

Thoughts ?

Earlier on in his career 2001 I think i remember he put his body on the line against the Eagles over in Perth he came out of the contest with a broken collarbone. I don't know if this has resulted in him becoming more timid when the time comes for him to try and win the hard ball.

If they have persevered with that absolute crock Matthew Rodgers for 10 years for jack ****e output, surely the likes of Fiora and Pettifer deserve a chance.

he has been dissapointing.confidence is a wonderful thing as well as being settled in one position. atm he,s suffering from both.

I can see why the recruiting people would have seen Aaron as a good bet. Can mark, kicks well is quick, etc.. .

I remember the year he was drafted, the key AFL recruiting guy said that if he had to select one of the draftees who will one day win a Brownlow, Fiora was the one. Seems to me in a lot of games he starts well but somehow gets lost as the games wears on.

Aaron, I think, is worth holding on to at least for another 2 years. Remember he is still 22 and still has a chance to prove what he can do. I also think that maybe a game, not this week but in the future should have a go in Coburg where he can play in the midfield for most of the game.

Add to the fact that Fiora spent a lot of the year playing senior football in the SANFL with the Port Magpies when most of the other countries top juniors were playing against their own age group. You can see why many top recruting judges thought Fiora was a good bet.
He just seems to be one of those guys who can't put much muscle on.
