Does anyone know where I can get or buy a copy of the ABC grandstand coverage of the replay grand final? My Dad loves their call and it would be awesome to get him a copy of it as he can't stand MMM or SEN commentary on the replay DVD. Thanks.

Not a bad idea actually, my Dad likes the ABC call too, just a plain call with no "nonsense" going on.
All I could find was a 15 minutes highlight package of the GF replay on the ABC site.
Might be worth contacting them (email, phone etc) and asking them for the full call.

That little jockey guy that calls in the ABC is the best caller in the game...
His call was just how it should be IMO... Gone miles past Bruce, and should be calling on free to air, someone should give him a contract.

Hopelessly biased towards Geelong and has a near pathological hatred for the Magpies.
I think honestly he wanted the Pies to win so the Prelim loss didn't hurt so much...(at least they lost to the Premiers etc...)
That said GW is a very good commentator, and well worth a listen on the no ads channel.
Mind you I think lots of us here at BF should give calling some of the highlights of the big game a go. I reckon we might just top the efforts of the pros.

That's complete rubbish, IMO.
He might be biased towards Geelong, but unlike most other reporters, he freely admits that he barracks for Geelong, rather than trying to disguise it, as though that would hide his bias.
As for a pathological hatred of Collingwood - Given that he was BY FAR the most generous and welcoming of Collingwood's victory of anyone in any of the commentary booths in the GF replay, and that he consistantly picked Collingwood for much of the year, I'd say that this couldn't be much further from the truth.
Fair call VV, not pathological hatred, just in matches between us and articles I've read in the Geelong Advertiser, just a very passionate one-eyed Geelong fan. Who when a team gets in the way, becomes a bit of a hater. It is hard to be objective when you have a love for a team; no doubt about it, though Pies fans are strangely better at it than they used to be.
I'd agree Gerard was generous in his commentary, and aside from Bruce, was probably the first to call excitedly it was the Pies' flag. (I don't know if he had to be the ying in the booth with Maclure being the yang - a bit like Michael Christian commentating on TEN?)
On the overall issue of finding the GF replay coverage, I'd imagine Faves probably used the freely available 15 min highlight package (on the ABC website) to garnish his video.
If you want the full deal, I gather it's on the site TD/DTM PMs people about. Would be surprised if it wasn't quite frankly.

He is not a massive hater, but he continually dismissed us as a Premiership chance all year, and even after wins over both the Saints and Cats late in the year, basically hypothesised that both of them had given the games little thought and had kept something up their sleaves for later on.
We proved him wrong until the very last day of the season, and that was the first time all year he acknowledged us with his over the top histrionics. If you ever watched AFL 360, both Robbo and King were pretty positive about the Pies (king especially), while Maclure and Whately were dismissive and borderline inflammatory.
