fact is mate the APS actually produce decent footy players when they get to the AFL. Goddard, Ball, Judd are only testament to the fact that APS footy is the premier league for any budding footy star- mate weve already got AFL players in Raso at Haileybury and im suremany will be picked up this year. I dont know the kind of players the AGS and ACC produce when they get to the AFL because i simply havent heard of any. No doubt APS is the premier school boy footy comp in Oz.

From my ex-school alone (ACC), the likes of Llyod, Lucas, Swan, Bentick, Iacobucci, Cartledge and Jolley are current players. And there have been many more over the years.

The A.P.S is far the best school boy football competition going around! the A.P.S is the superior competition not just in 05 but every year, there have been so many good footballers that are playing A.F.L now and are on clubs lists at the moment. This year there will be alot of plays drafted that are playing in the A.P.S competition this year, I can assure you of that!

ACC have produced more AFl players than anyother school league....

APS dont produce, they poach
goddard from country, judd poached, ball went to x on his on will so ill give u that
u name other players u have 'produced' in the past 3 years

Campbell Brown, Ted Richards, Ryan O'Keefe, McQualter, Fergus Watts, Daniel Jackson. I refer you to http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=174766

The APS is the strongest school competition around. The AGS just doesn't have the depth and neither does the ACC, they are both second rate competitions. The APS is the one and only top rate competition in Australia and if you are so naiive to think that your competition is better then the APS then you've got problems.

you can add Will Slade, Charlie Gardiner, Tim Callan, Luke Balls brother (forget his name) to that list of APS footy players and there are undoubtedly many more. By the way the ACC dont produce decent players anyway, they are decent enough as it is when they get to that school, you cant try and tell anyone that a school 'produces' good footy players because a school is about education and not footy- so who cares if the APS 'poached' goddard and judd, they are just getting a decent education anyway. by the way APS = Associated Public Schools and AGS = Associated Grammar Schools

Stats show ACC produces more AFL players then any other school footy comp in Australia.

St.Bernards alone would have produced 50 in the last 10 years.

thats a big comment you have just made, Produce some of these so called stats... Players? Are you saying St.Bernards have produced 50 AFL Footballers in the last 10 years?

The APS is massively over rated.
St Josephs Geelong which is in the ACC has Ling, Bartel and Scarlett all at Geelong who would be in Geelong's top 5 players
There are then the likes of Joel Reynolds and Nick Maxwell who also went to St Josephs so there are 5 current AFL players from one ACC team

Being a St Joseph Geelong player in the ACC. I would rate the comp a far higher standard than the APS. We were a middle of the range team this year, winning 2 out of 6 games, which is probably the same as Geelong College in the APS. But i no for a fact that our St Joeys team, who is mid range in the ACC, would pump Geelong College by over 100 points, who are mid range in the APS. Our Joeys team has 13 players on the Falcons list, while College have 4 players on the Falcons list. We also have Danny Stanley (all Australian) and Shaun Higgins who will both be drafted this year, and we only managed 2 wins out of 6. That shows the strength of the comp.

That doesn't show how good u are it just shows how weak your school is. Joeys used to have such a proud tradition but now they could not give a stuff about playing footy just indevidual success.
APS footy is so healthy it doesn't even bother with a Medibank card.
The best school boy comp in Australia. Hands down

didnt parade beat u guys?...

dont be surprised if parade win on wed

There have been over 100 VFL/AFL footballers from Xavier.
Jarryd Moore, Anthony Raso and Rowan Nayna were all drafted last year. All attended Haileybury. 3 draftees in one year from one school. Just an example of the strength of the APS. All schools in the APS have produced quality players.

youve summed it up brilliantly superstar- and if we are talking about 'producing' players than Geelong Grammar can claim Joel Reynolds as he went here for a few years when he was younger.

I happen to know joel quite well and he did not enjoy St Josephs when he went there at all. Infact he prefered Belmont High over Joeys. It would be good to see him take the next step and not be so soft or timid in the big league.

Carn the APS

Yeah you might beat geelong college who have a very good side this year by the way but.. any team above geelong college on the A.P.S ladder this year you would struggle to beat them without a doubt so in this case you would be a middle of the range side... What is the ACC anyway? What teams are in it?

APS is by far the premier competition.Judd Goddard Walker McQualter and Garrubba all attended Caulfield in the last five years.
