Where do you start;

No structure, no effort, care factor zero (and this has been going on for 6 weeks)

Excused; Simpson, Judd, Betts (average today but has been good)

Need to lift; GIBBS, Bower, Warnock, Murphy, Walker, Garlett, Henderson, Hampson, Jamison, Waite

Just not good enough; Joseph, Carazzo, Fisher, Johnson

Warnock my whipping boy did a pretty good job today except a earlier incident.Fisher 1st game for ages had bad delivery along with other forwards blame the midfield and defense who just bombed the ball to 2 players on 1.

Ratten just has to go.

Not totally his fault the team does not even try - the players should have enough pride in their own performance.

But the structure is his responsibility and we do not have one.

And why does no one lead and present. Our kick-ins today were dreadful and it was not the kickers fault ; there was no plan to take the ball out of the backline. NONE.

Warnock for a young man played his best game when it was hard to shine. He will lift with more games and pre-seasons but I say hats off for a good effort Robbie

Mate Richmond board is down a bit.

OK here'e my take on it.

We were beaten by a much better side today, yes it really hurts to admit that, but it's a fact. The performance today was pathetic, but we will get better.

It's not the end of the world. We have the talent that will, in time, play in a grand final winning side, of this I have no doubt. But it will take a bit of time. Remember guys & gals we are still in a rebuilding phase.

So my advise is dont slit your wrists just yet we have the core group of players to go all the way, we may need to get rid of a few and gain some others but we will get there, we just need a bit a patience.

Have faith in the club guys, have faith.

I just got home from the game and it was a dreadfull performance regardless of the junk time last qtr in which we got the score a bit more respectable. The 2nd Qtr we played was disgusting and our backline was all at see with terrible skills from everyone. Russell was poor kicking out and his decision making was no better , Chris Johnson is NOT an afl level footballer , Gibbs was mediocre at best , Murphy very poor , Carrazo terrible , Bower well beaten , Grigg still cant kick and Joseph was well beaten. I could go on but enough is enough.

Driving home MMM stated that the Pies had over 100 more possessions than us yet we still lost the tackle count which is totally BS and weak and we need to show more heart for the jumper and not expect Juddy to do everything. We were also smashed in the contested possessions with Juddy our only main contributer as usual. No surprise to hear Juddy has a shoulder issue after the game after he came off early in the last as we are ****ing killing him with the way we are playing.

My Rant is over anyway and it was so deflating to see us play like that and allthough the Pies are good 2 goals in a half of football and constant defensive unpressured turnovers are unacceptable.:mad:

We are Carlton and mediocrity just isn't good enough. While I like to think I'm a realist and we're not quite ready to be challenging, our efforts over the past few months haven't been good enough.

The change in forward structure has caught up to us as teams have worked us out. They don't allow us the space to run the footy because give us that and we'll cut you up. Put numbers around the footy and across half back however and we've got no answers whatsoever.

The problem's been clear for weeks now. I'm not seeing any solution. It goes beyond effort. The players are trying but the structures aren't in place to allow us capitalise and thus we quickly become demoralised.

If we truly don't accept mediocrity, we must reassess Ratten's position as coach of the football, contracted or not.

mediocre heartless gutless structureless performance! Players are disheartened with the structure, every time we went forward we rely on Betts or Garlett to give us a contest, the pies had a loose man in defence and rebound to score.. that was the day in a nutshell.

How about this Ratten and Lappin u useless pricks, how about you play Lachie Henderson or Waite out of the goal square and in the fifty and give our players something to kick too as their streaming out of defence instead of looking up and seeing Elf's with Giants on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS how hard is it!!! Waite is our best option out of the square, play him there! We have nobody else and Lachie should be playing as CHF starting his runs from the fifty not front of centre.

It is the structure it is ****ed, it is not working and our useless coaches have no answers!

In the last two months we've beaten West Coast and Brisbane (two worst sides in the comp) and no one else and in both games we've given up solid starts to the opposition.

Players have no heart, we get monstered and bullied in games and ffs im over it!!!

Ratten is not the answer...we should be going forwards and not backwards. A few quick questions for all the pro Ratten support the club and their position no matter what muppets in here...what is Rattens plan?? What does he believe in? What style do we play?? Matty Knights has copped plenty of stick at Essendon recently but through it all you always know what his plan is..breakneck speed football! What is Rattens plan?? After 3 years of chopping and changing and up and down football i have no idea what his plan is!

FFS i'm over performances like they have dished up the past few months its not on.

I think that there is 4 weeks left to go for the year...

Lets hold off until we finish before screaming for Ratts head.

Although, I would be interested in finding out what sort of team structure he is trying to play myself, but at the moment... he is the coach and he is in charge.

Agree not much you can do this year.

We have not got the talent for a grand final. You are sugarcoating it.We lack another 1 or 2 midfielders with leg speed that we may get in the draft. The main concern is we lack at least 2 more good talls. Henderson isn't enough with Waite it's a major concern.Austin and Hampson are not guarantee. We make the 8 but a top 2 side is a long way.

I know this a little selective/using a one off but some think Yazza was good today - this is accepting mediocrity. He had 9 possies. Sidebottom did not play a pearler but he had more possies than Yazza and Garts put together and let's not mention Beames. We accept mediocrity on this board because we want to be positive but sometimes I think we overdo it (not that I want anymore bagging) Hammo still looked very lost out there most of the time today but we grasp at his improvement and some give him votes.

Sadly it is happening throughout the club. We are really struggling eg. Fish did not earn a game by playing well in the Ants - he got it by default

Why would you excuse Betts? He only ever really does anything when the game is over. Waite has a go and would have more passion for the club than almost every player on the list.

Fisher was playing well at the Ants. 14 goals in 4 weeks is hardly poor form.

On Yarran, I don't think anybody is saying he played well today but he was promising. Playing as a small forward he'll never get huge numbers, particularly on a day like today. But what he did do was try to take on the play and create when everyone around him was stagnant. Mightn't have always paid off but as far as I'm concerned that's besides the point.

your harsh on betts who has been very good this year ; @ times he appears to be the only one moving and leading in our forward line !!

as for waite, yes he was ok @ times but he runs underneath the ball too often, his kicking is terrible and is another player that points to everyone else all game. I am sick of carlton players all pointing their fingers ; ffs just take responsibility.
