What a revelation on Acker's part....Bock has gone missing!!!!

NATHAN BOCK
Adelaide
HERE'S a man who could do anything with a body his size. He can run and move. His ability to run with all types of shapes has him as an important defensive player.
The part of his game that would make most teammates worry is his inability to run and be balanced to kick short and medium passes. This type of training practice will give him the confidence to run at pace and kick firmer to a teammate down field.
He tries to be perfect with a foot pass but ends up lobbing it. He puts too much roll into his hands on the downward motion in his kicks.
It is a classic mistake when you are tall and strong.

Must have worked hard and long to come up with such startling statement....pretty good at looking at other players faults is Acker, take a good, hard look in the mirror Jason you tool!!!

Arh, meh:p

I can live with this. We know why he is out of shape and form, can expect him to get back in shape and form, and at least Acker has recognised his greatness.

yeh fire up, son. all he said was bocky is a great player but is an average short kick whilst running it out of defence, then proceeds to give an anatomical reason for it. nothing too damning or disrespectful i wouldnt have thought.

Erm has he not noticed the fact he has been injured or not fit constantly this year. I think he has certainly improved his kicking the past 5 years, he is a good kick. ALthough what he said was certainly true for the early stages of his career.

Considering Aker ( for all his faults ) is one of the best two sided kicks I have ever seen, it would be remiss not to take some heed of what he says. How many times have we seen Bock streaming out of defence only to turn it over with a poor kick. Mind you, Stevens fits in nicely as well.

Aker for our new goal kicking coach :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

and offering free tutorials on flair, arrogance and taking the game on

we could be onto something here

Yeah, and then the AFC can be the 3rd AFL club to give the FIGJAM the a*se!!!!

Hadn't heard too many complaints from supporters with Nathan until his injury ravaged 2010 season???

Absolutely right on. Surprised an opposition player has studied an opponent to this depth.

Agree also ditto Truck

I reckon his analysis is great. I wish it was more in depth, though, but it's still interesting, insightful and fair. At least it beats most of the trash written about footy these days.
