In tip top form too. Great news

C'mon Adam, just one more Brownlow and a second premiership to put the diamond crust on a stellar career.

going for the big 350 are we?

great news hopefully he can win a 3rd Brownlow in their somewhere

and maybe a premiership captain...

Should finish with about 340 games to his name if he maintains his injury-free form (touching all the wood I can).

Also heard that Horse is trying to get Jude to re-sign, meaning Jude could join the 300 club as well. :thumbsu:

I reckon he'll get past 350. At this rate he has more football to play in the middle and when he isn't capable of that anymore he'll settle into a full time forward role I imagine. I reckon he has another 3 seasons in him...at least.

I understand his amazing resiliency has to catch up with him at some point (or so you would think anyway). He has played so much football in his career without missing games that one might think he will burn out. But that really doesn't look like happening any time soon.

One of the all time greats of the club, never any doubt he would go elswhere, but good to know he'll be going around another 2 years :thumbsu:

Could we have our first 400 gamer? ;)

Despite the wink, I'll answer anyway. I wouldn't rule it out. Highly unlikely given he'd have to play at least 5 more seasons after this one to get there but playing in a side that should be able to play more finals over the next half decade who knows?

I think he is one of those freaks of nature. He'll just keep on going.

I do think unfortunately that unless Goodes calls time himself, he will at some point get an injury that forces him to pull the plug. He won't be able to be Robert Harvey-esque and play to 37/38.

I genuinely thought Kirk COULD be Harvey-esque, unfortunately not.

EDIT: Re-reading my post it looks stupid, what I mean is that unless Goodes calls time in the next few years, basically, by 2013, he will be hit with an injury that forces him out around that time anyway.

I think he can do it. With the new sub rule, if he feels he can still have an impact after coming on as a 2nd half sub i think he could keep going. If only he had of debut the year after he was drafted he could of already been on 320 games by seasons end and potentially, making 400 games a lot easier to reach. (365 games or so by end of 2013 at 33 years of age.)

Honestly, I think that he would retire if he knew that he was only valuable for a half of footy.

Hall is retiring now as a 34 year old who has a lot more injury problems than Goodes, and yet still looks like he could go around again, so who knows, Goodes could go to 35, and easily crack the 400.
