Adam "Faulty" GOODES

:mad::eek::mad::eek:

After 2 pathetic performances, what are people going to do with him.

Has been my premuim player all year (and captain most weeks) and my unique player in the way not many others in my league have him.

Will drop about 65k this week to $520,000 (thats a 100k drop over 2 weeks)

Is obviously carrying a groin and hip injury and will miss this week and who knows if any more.

Will be a bargain buy in a couple of weeks for those who dont have him. (likely to drop to at least 420k-440k)

With finals approaching what are you going to do with him?

if he starts playing well again it will be perfect for me to do a palmer > goodes trade which will compete my midfeld for finals.:thumbsu:

It's too late to be trading out elite guns like Goodes, unless you have plenty of trades up your sleeve. I'm sticking with him because I have to, but I'll never make him captain again.

A lot will come down to how many weeks Goodes is out for. If Goodes and Chapman both miss more than 1 week, then I might have to trade one of them (most likely Goodes to Ablett if Ablett plays this week)

I can't afford to have Chapman & Goodes on bench in first final with Cotchin and S.Selwood covering them.

Looking for a week 1 finals win, so I can have week 2 off :thumbsu:

Anyone else think Goodes injury is more serious than they are suggesting.

If it is O.P he could miss a number of weeks.

All Sydney have said is that he is ruled out this week, however does not mean he will miss more.

Goodes out for at least three weeks. Has been carrying a groin problem for the last couple of weeks. Time to trade him for Bartel.

Can someone please post back if they here of any other news concerning Goodsey. Only got 1 trade left and dont want to use it on him unless i have 2:cool:

Roosy has said it could be 2 or 3 weeks, so you can pretty much write him off this week. Id say only trade him if you need a win and couldnt win with him getting 0.

Bartel looks the best option price wise, but would be a big risk.

Keep in mind he is also carrying an injury and in the lead up to finals, cats may give him a weeks rest at some stage.

I have both Chapman and Goodes and will trade 1, but dont need to do it until next week. Bartel will have gne up to much by next week, so I will have to look at other options. Plently of quality mids dropping in price, but also alot carrying niggles.

Did anyone trade him last week?

Appears he "should" by right for this week according to Roo's (means very little).

I reckon he will still miss another week.

Anyone planning on trading him this week? His price will plummet next game, so you would wanna hope he is over his injury when he returns, as his value will be very poor if he does return and get's re-injured.

Bartel is very tempting, but still doubt over his back complaint.

Traded him in for my final midfield upgrade 2 weeks back...only to have him score a 10 and then go sit on the bench with Ablett...with my 2nd emergency also out injured. :o

No matter how well and cautiously you manage your side, there's no substitute for something vaguely resembling decent luck in this game. ;)

I cant imagine whatever was wrong with him the last 2 games he played has repaired itself in 2 weeks. If I had any trades to spare I'd drop him. Even if he plays, he will be limited in my opinion.

I had spare trades .... Until a certain Shaw and Milburn stuffed things up

Might have to stick with Goodes and hope it pays off ... otherwise im buggered

Adam Goodes is said to be close to selection this week as is defender Leo Barry. "We've just got to pick the best possible team we can and if they [the youngsters] are in the best team they should be there. They definitely gave us a lift on the weekend."

Worst thing that could happen is that they name him and then he is a late withdrawl  If he is not named this week I will trade him :( ... If he is named I hope like hell he performs and will see out the next 4 weeks :D ... If he is named and does not play I will hate Paul Roos forever

Was at the game tonight and he rarely ventured far from the goal square. When he did he didn't seem to break out of a jog. Kicked a bag but had perfect delivery from the midfield and the Freo defenders regularly gave him way too much space. He's definately a long way from being fit and I don't regret trading him out.

Dont know, Dont care...been like clockwork buying him midseason for his business end performances so it was a huge blow losing him.

Obviously severely restricted but its too damn late in the season to be blowing trades swapping guns around. Just going to have to put up with the ups and downs.

Copped it with Judd's groin mid-late last year..same deal this yr with Goodes. Much more versatile though and at least he can play a role fwd or back.

12 touches for 8g1 ...guessing there's a 40-50pt game around the corner though. Whats the bet he still averages 90+ over these last 4 rounds tho.

How did he not score more with 8 goals ... only 20 point in last qtr with crutial goals :eek::eek:

Strange, he was on 140, kicked a couple of crucial goals, and his score dropped.

Bizzarre stuff and there may even be an error with his score.

Didnt turn over any ball over or miss any targets. Just kicking goals

Maybe it was "the vibe". He loses pts coz he's not meant to kick a bagfull.

Dunno...i'll take 125 instead of a zero anyday though :thumbsu:
