I said I was alive for 6, didnt say I watched them all, 69 was the first I remember anything about, most of Collingwoods flags were won well before television was invented, and you would have got to the game in a horse and carriage.

Anyway who really counts any of those ancient flags won before the modern 18 team competition was formed

Now you make very valid points, but you really are supporting what I (and the great man Adam) said. You didn't have the best list last year. You don't have the best list this year. Adam was assessing lists. He looked at the gems we were developing, he could project forward and see we would be drafting the best young player in 2017 and recruiting a gun young half back, and he knew that our list was better.

And to think we are travelling this well without 3 of our top 6 players. Amazing!

Try to be serious, we had a better list than Collingwood when he made the comment as we do now, that's batantly obvious to anyone but you and Adam, I would say Adelaide's list last year was better than ours but our flag wasnt won by having the best list it was won by being the best team.

As for all these "guns" you have supposedly recruited since Adam made his embarrasing statement we have recruited Prestia, Caddy and Nank all who starred in the GF, then added the biggest draft steal in years with Jack Graham who kicked 3 in a GF while playing on one of Adelaides star players in Sloane and this year we grabbed another steal in Higgins who has kicked 5 goals in his first two outings as a teenager, throw in the massive improvement of Lambert and a few other young players and our list is even further ahead of yours than when Adam made his silly statement.

Oh did anyone mention we have won a flag since then as well?

After 37 years of pain, there were times I wondered if I’d ever see the perennially underperforming Tigers win a flag.

Now that it’s happened, I can say it’s even better than I hoped.

The decision actually had nothing to do with list, he felt he couldn't go to Richmond anymore because he ****** Cotchins wife and he said he thought it would be awkward AF.

I was talking list not actually playing lets be honest, Adelaides list on paper looked better than ours thats why they were favourites what the paper doesnt show is how well the list performs against a great team who selflessly do the job required without needing to be a superstar.
As for Coklingwoods list well in some areas they have what appear to be better players but as a whole they aren't even close.

It does seem that although Bucks said they wouldnt copy Richmond, after his own gameplan was shown up he has done just that in many areas

Well in 40 years when GF's can be played somewhere other than the G we will be able to test that theory, Adelaide really did play there GF that day.

It was the game your players had been gearing up for since the fixture was released. Your humiliation by mediocre sides Essendon and Collingwood either side of our match prove that.

Not to me it didn't. Seedsman, Atkins, Mackay, Hartigan, Brown, Douglas, Kelly, Otten, Knight all played in the grand final. None of them would get a game for Richmond.

This 'Adelaide was the best team all year' nonsense has to stop. They won their first six games, then just 11 of their next 19. They were the third or fourth best team, after Richmond, GWS and probably Sydney.
