If your interested an Antonov 124-100 will be landing at Adelaide Airport on 23/12/02 at 0730 and departing on 24/12/02 at 1830. These times are subject to change, and I will keep you posted. It will stage at the International Tarmac. It is bringing in two 80 ton gas turbines.
For those of you that dont know what i am talking about, Antonov 124-100 is the second biggest Aircraft flying at the moment, and makes quite an impressive sight whereever it goes.

Speaking of Adelaide aviation, had to laugh that time a pilot lined up Anzac Highway instead of the runway.

The nose opens up to admit cargo. Back in the early 90's, the Russkies were descending the thing, and the nose opened up in flight. Bad timing for that. The thing crashed and killed most aboard. Made a big mess too.

If you go out to watch it, be sure to stand back some.
