Just spent a few days in the city of churches - only been there once before and IMO its not a bad joint. Wasnt as bad as its made out. Had a ball actually.

Good chicks geezus - seems to be a 2 or 3-1 chick-guy ratio as well.

Lotsa weridos tho - everywhere.

I agree with the accents. All the S.A country people seem to sound like theyre in England.

Adelaide has the best chicks in Australia i reckon. Very very very nice looking females in Adelaide. Wouldnt live anywhere else!!

actually spoke to Nathan Sting not long ago - he trained with them for a week in Adelaide before his last fight up in qld - reckons they are a good bunch and got good work in.

I am thinking about Thursday - sorta have to be somewhere else but I guess I can think of an excuse! Should be a good night - I saw Kariuki-Rowsell, I tell ya, Rowsell had to dig deep, he was nearly gone at one stage.

Briggs should win, but it should be good.

From what Ive seen I cant disagree. They say the Gold Coast has nice chicks - pfft! Talk about plastic, skanky shyte! IMO the Coast is overrated.

Im yet to meet someone that thinks Adelaide isnt in the top 2 cities in Australia for best looking females

I was born at Glenelg, raised within cooee of Glenelg (halfway down Diagonal road), and currently live at Glenelg.

Everywhere I go - even within Adelaide - what do people ask me?

"So mate, what part of England are you from?"

Pisses me off no end :mad:

When I was in America people seemed to think I was from Britain. Go figure.

The reason that South Aussies have a slightly different accent extends back from the colonial days. It was the only settlement started by free settlers, hence a better class. ;)

Although that last statement goes out the window when you attend a Port home game. :D

I think it has something to do with being the only Australian colony founded by free settlers, rather than convicts.

People in England don't think I sound English though! (They can't tell Adelaide from Brisbane, or Cape Town or Auckland for that matter!!!) I guess it's a lot easier to spot differences than similarities.

I actually heard a couple from Sydney over here the other day, and I found their "Olivia Newton-John" accents sounding really coarse and grating. I'm sure I wouldn't even notice back in Oz.

Did Sting mention anything about a possible match up with Vic Darchinian? I remember at the last Fenech fight night they were calling him out.

So how was the rest of Respect 6?

Actually, when I was living there I was made aware that Adelaide has an unusual anomaly, in that it has about 58% male to 42% female. Normally there are more females (just) everywhere.

I do however agree that Adelaide girls are exceptionally pretty!

The fact that there are so many freaks though, means that these beautiful girls stand out more. In fact, just going to another city makes girls stand out more...it's natural!!

As for the accent, I bloody picked it up when I lived there. If you don't say dance like the hot chick in Murder on the Dancefloor, you get yelled at!!

Fortunately I learned the way of the Melbourne yobbo before any permanent damage was caused!

Well I am a 'chick' in Adelaide and it seems to me that females out number males. Perhaps I should say that females outnumber the decent males in the population.

I say both. Both sort of randomly come out. One day ill say Dance like saying Dan....then the next ill say Darnce. Tis wierd.

Yea - its a load of crap apparently. They are all talk in Sydney and apparently have offered him peanuts, in Sydney, on their terms etc.

Les Wilson, his trainer/manager, wont get bullied or stoodover by Fenechs crew in a fit.

Respect 6 was ok - bit of drama after.

Couple promoters on the run I see - Kieren apparently has fled Sydney, and Tarik has fled to Turkey (Crown has pulled their deal and there will be no more shows at the Casino).

Was at crown tonight - been offered tix for thursday but I dunno if I can go.

are you going?
 
Yeah there a lot of weirdos in Adelaide...but there'd be more in cities like Melbourne because the population is greater..;) But the Port home games are a must :p

Some of the guys in Rundle Mall are pretty shocking though I have to say! All the smoking groupies...argh! :o
