It's come down to winning 6 of our remaning 9 games to make the finals...just. A long shot at best, but it starts v Adelaide. Forget all the talk re Connolly being sacked etc...it ain't gonna happen, maybe at seasons end, but not now.

Our season is over, simple as that. We won't make the finals from here, although i think we will go close. We will probably finish on 10-11 wins and finish about 10th.

We have no chance of beating adelaide, even with the inclusions.
To be honest, long term i think it's best to finish 10th this year so CC does get the sack at the end so we can get a real coach. If we did finish 8th then CC will probably still be coach and we will be in the same spot next year. Short term i would love us to win every game. But our best chance of going anywhere in the next 5 years would mean it's best we finish outside the 8 this year so we can get a decent coach which the player group can respect

So who is this decent coach u think of....all I come up with are assistant's that are only going to be as good as Connolly....ie Harvey, o'Donnell, broadbridge, Sumich, etc etc. We would only be going forward if we could manage to poach a coach like Pagan or fluke a key media person like Lyon or Carey. All highly unlikely.

Anyway this post was re the Adelaide game not Connolly...we beat them last year with Schammer & Thornton being our best players, so surely we'd be a chance again this year?

Plugga - concern is that McPharlin, Walker & Matthew Carr will be underdone as they have not played for a few weeks. Agree it time to send Medhurst back to WAFL and knock him down a peg or two.

I would put McPharlin back to CHB and play Murphy and Johnson out of the square with Farmer at thier feet for the rest of the season.
