Adelaide United 3; Bunyodkor 0 at Hindmarsh

Diego 58, Barbiero 76, Cristiano 89p

Frustrating first half, Adelaide took their chances in the second. No away goals by Bunyodkor. United absolutely in the box seat now. :thumbsu:

Whether u like the 'football' (soccer) or not, I have to give to them..... bloody well played boyz.

Good for the state if they can make it thru to the final :thumbsu::thumbsu:.

Lost 1-0 in Tashkent but are through to the final of the ACL 3-1 on aggregate. Adelaide United will meet Gamba Osaka of Japan in the home and away final.

United also earned a place at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan in December.

The FFA will probably schedule A-League games for United a day before and after the tournament and throw in $1.75 financial support for a steamer ship ride.

Stayed up and watched it.

Boring game TBH. United were defending, fair enough. Bunyodkor didn't seem to realise they were 3 goals down on aggregrate and needed to put their skates on from the start. Things didn't really warm up till well into the second half.

Full marks to the Ref. There were a few tackles that could have incurred yellow cards to Reds players if he'd been swayed by the home crowd but none were forthcoming.

Found out a bit about Uzbekistan from the net while watching the game. Who said sport is not educational.

we could have won if half the team wasnt injuried or on their death-bed with fatigue. if rivaldo is worth US$14 million over 2 years then i am also a professional footballer :rolleyes:

You know what the real annoying thing is the FFA get a cut (I believe half) of the prizemoney, yet have not helped at all. Bastards.

Was anyone nervous when the first goal was scored. Turned a boring game into a bit of a heart racer for last 13 minutes.

Unite get 75%, FFA 5% and 20% distributed to the other 7 A-league clubs.

FFA Have given United the Nov 8th game off (postponed)!
