Interesting photo I gleaned from the AFL website of last week's game against West Coast.

Pay attention to the whiteboard and the right-side panel. The right side is the team board and there are a couple of items of note.
JAENSCH - WALKER - THOMPSON
CHEETAH - TIPPETT - ROAMER
Our forward line has the standard six positions but as you can see, the two flanks are given a description: CHEETAH and ROAMER. It seems in this case Ricky Henderson has been named as the CHEETAH and Nathan van Berlo as the ROAMER.
Is the ROAMER a player who has free reign around the ground? Can push deep in defence when under attack, can include himself in stoppages and have free reign to become an attacking option in the forward lines. The past few weeks I have noticed VB, although lined up not at a traditional flank position but more squarer on the wing.
Is the CHEETAH a player who is obviously a quicker type, who has the speed to cover ground, provide a leading target and to move the ball quickly North, either by play on or penetrating kick?
These roles are something I am particular pay attention to tonight, to see what their role is within our forward line and who will be playing them once again.
You will also notice Thomspon has a red square next to his name. The same red square seems to be designated for Dangerfield who is starting in the Centre. This is obviously the forward/midfield rotation Looking at the centre matchups you will notice Griffin starting in ruck with a blue square next to his name. His ruck rotation, Maric on the left side of the board with blue next to his name too.
On the left board there seems to be the quarter by quarter KPI's.
What can everyone else gather from this glimpse of the whiteboard? What do you think the roles of the CHEETAH and ROAMER are? Or are they just that self-explanatory?
