Mabye final , im sick of this gambling rubbish. This addiction is bad.

Copying two ideas from two threads.. i'd post on the threads but i keep getting lost amongst people talking about live scores and so fourth, so ill post my picks here..

10 x $2 winners
30 x $.20 Winners

I have always suspected this. Being serious, look at getting a little help.

Perhaps you need to take a step back and separate what you call "gambling" (others may call it punting, business, recreation, making money etc.) and ego.

Forums pander to / cater to ego. Spruiking. Talking oneself up. Advertising. Good stories, not bad. Half stories. Not the entire truth.

A little more work on the "pre" (why you are placing the bet, how much work/study/analysis have you put into the bet, do you have an edge, could you argue your position/reasoning in-depth with others etc.) and a little less on the "ego-driven" post may work wonders....

As said above, don't ever chase losses and you'll be fine. If you feel you want to chase losses then call that number above.

Also, coming up with all those bets above is gonna take ages. Where is the best place to put on the epic multi bets- sportingbet.com.au? TAB limits what you can bet.

Anyone know what they actually do or say?
If I lose another $100 then I might give them a call, but in saing that I am only $523 down compared to others on here that is not much at all

Not sure how they help, but I saw your other thread as well.

Can't hurt to give them a call :thumbsu:

The website would list the process they go through, and even though some other have lost more than you it's all dependent on individual circumstances.

this.

what i've learnt from the past:
if you dont have patience you dont win.

I rang that number about an hour ago, asked for a tip, they gave me Pray For Me at Sandown.

I am back in the game!!

:p

Totally true.

In the past i have bet on NBA,NFL, MLB, EPL and stuff i really dont know much about cause i was bored and to chase losses from the previous round of AFL.

It doesnt work.

Stick with what you know and only bet on that. I wouldnt waste your time with these win 20 $1.20 picks. You will always lose before you get there.

Also you have to be patient in finding the right bets. I used to bet on all 8 AFL games a weekend. Instead i now increase my bets value and find the 2 or 3 best bets of the weekend and only play them. Bet as though every $50 or $100 you bet is actually worth $500 or $1000

Yeah I sometimes chuck $5-$10 on mid week things like tennis or NBA. More of a boredom thing or to see if I can turn $10 into $50 for AFL - Very rarely happens hahaha

If you're betting to make money and cant afford to bet what you are losing or it is effecting your quality of life....you my frineds have a problem ;)

i know, they make you repeat stories of your losses and make you feel crap about it, and just keep reminding you of those things, the only thing you leave with is a reminder that is simply this, you have a gambling problem. other than that they cant legally do anything else.

this is why i like my challenge, last night i lost on bet 4 with my stake $160, but that was all winning apart from $20 so really i only lost 20 bucks. will bank by then in future.....i got so dam angry and went on a rage for sure, not because i lost $160 because i only lost $20 but it was because querrey is a match fixing dud!!!!! i said i wont do it again, but i am starting again tonight lol and from $20.....if your starting with 2grand, you have problems

Adii, here is a piece of advice from me to you--one that cost me money to learn.....

To make money from punting you need to do your own ratings/form on whatever you are betting on & only bet when you feel the odds are in your favour.

In early 20's i used to often have 500-1000 on a game where i wanted to be involved & had a bit of a feel for what i thought might happen--by doing this (& i think you do this) you have hot streaks but you also do your balls at times & it often leads to chasing.

If you think Collingwood are a $1.60 chance to beat Freo you say thanks very much to the $1.90 on offer. but you don't just have a crack without having first thought out what the true odds or line bet should be. This approach takes more time of course but i have found it to be profitable.
The other key thing i reckon is keep track of what you're doing--I am much more disciplined now that i keep proper records.

Try this approach out--even if you don't bet real money, just keep track of how your record goes.

The important thing to remember in gambling is that on occasion you will lose.

It doesn't matter if you bet on a $1.20 or $1.01 shot, sometimes you will lose.

You can do all the research you like, find the best proposition after hours of research and through quirk of fate you will lose.

That's why I have not bothered to enter the $1.20 or $2.00 challenge.
Odds are that the more times you double your bet, the greater the chance that you will lose.

The smart ones are the ones that take the opportunity to bank winnings along the way.

Props also to BarryG for his 32 in a row.
But for every BarryG, there appear to be over 100 others who have failed.

There are big punters here and small punters, however, the key rules are:
1. Bet within your means; and
2. Don't chase losses.

I've already seen one member of this forum have a severe problem (who started a punting club here no less).

Remember also:
1. There are very few long-term winners on the punt.
2. The hours of time you spend researching, could likely be spent on a more productive and profitable enterprise.
