OK, Adkins from the West Coast Eagles has been delisted.

Any chance we could pick him up? I think he's alright actually. When he played for the Eagles, he showed a bit.

Unsure of his age but unlucky this year with a leg injury.

Would add depth to the midfield aswell.

Worth a shot?

Thought I'd give you a short analysis of him since I saw someone ask for one on the West Coast Board:

He's very quick and has a lovely long kick on his right side but tends to blaze away far too much. He just doesn't have that composure you'd want from a player and probably doesn't find quite enough of it. Suited to a HFF, he's 26, and 181cm.

If memory serves there was a rumor during the 2005 trade period that you guys where interested but obviously nothing came of it. If he hadn't broken his leg this year he would've been worth a look but now I'd say his AFL days are over.

I let the Cupido one go through to the keeper, but now Adkins? What is going on here? We don't need either of these or any other midfield type, seconds or state league players. Get a big guy maybe (and I seriously mean maybe) but prefer a kid like White who can play a bit. Please don't bring up any more of these muppets for discussion.:D

When you look at West Coasts midfield, its tempting to think that their fringe midfielders are being kept out of the team by an all-star midfield. But when you look a bit closer, despite how good their midfield is overall they still have room in their rotation for players like Rowan Jones. It isn't stars like Judd, Kerr or Cousins that have been keeping players like Adkins or Jeremy Humm out of their team, it is duds like Jones that are getting games ahead of them. Their best half a dozen or so midfielders collectively are better than anyone elses, but their fringe midfielders are as bad as or worse than anyone elses.

Confirmed on the radio that his career is finished through injury

Sad end. I wish him well for the future.

Not a good player, but tries his best, but his kicking does let him down a lot. He basically filled the gaps during the Judge era.
