When I see a ruck running for the ball on a lead have the reaction time and agility to see the ball heading off in the other direction, stop, prop and dive to his right Lloyd-esque... I know there's something special.
Make that two sensational ruckman and two proven ruckman in the form of LA, Deluca, Mott and French (in reference order).
And for those who bagged french, settle down, French did his job, 10 possies, a few marks around the ground and 25 hitouts. He's a tap ruckman and he did his job.
He looks fit enough take the ball for a run though.

DeLuca has been playing for Port Melbourne for 3 seasons,
you would have to wonder why it's only now that he's been picked up.
His game has developed, but yet hasn't changed that much.
Worthwhile player, yes.

DeLuca was fantastic today. I know there was a lot of talk on the North board of drafting him while at Pt melbourne, but he looks a ready made AFL player, possibly even as a permanent key forward.
Was at your game on Saturday, Deluca stood out. Top prospect.
Thought a lot of your foreign leigon showed somethng. Johnson, Scotland & Teague in particular.
Kenna was a bit quiet, but goes allright.
Thought your mob were stiff but you had your chances.

Just wait! DeLuca is also a very good wet-weather player, with terrific disposal. Sorely missed at Port this season.
