Examples, go:

Let’s start with recent history. In the last 2 years the trades that dragged out the longest and basically need the AFL to step in are… Ryder and Crameri

This appeared almost exactly one year ago to the day in the Herald Scum

"ESSENDON wants any of Hamish Hartlett, Ollie Wines or Chad Wingard as a 'fair-trade' return from Port Adelaide for ruckman-forward Paddy Ryder according to Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro"

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/essendon-seeks-hamish-hartlett-ollie-wines-or-chad-wingard-from-port-adelaide-for-patrick-ryder-trade/story-fni5f22o-1227081220857?sv=da25f1507c2a6fef7ff705cb509f79fd

And then from the AFL website almost two years ago

"After weeks of haggling, Crameri finally became a Bulldog during the second last day of the trade period when Essendon accepted the Bulldogs' second-round draft pick for him.

It ended up being selection 26 which ... felt light on for the Bombers, given the Dogs had lured Crameri on a four-year deal worth about $1.8 million. Essendon hoped for a pick in the teens.

Knowing that the Bulldogs' prized No.4 pick was always off limits ... it was a second-round selection or Crameri could walk into the pre-season draft and Essendon would get nothing for him. That was always a last resort for the Bulldogs and not they way they wanted to do business, but it was still an option if all else failed"

Now this year, your list manager starts playing his typical negotiating game where he says “Carlisle is worth 5" but every reasonable person seems to think a pick in the mid-teens is about fair (eerily similar to the Bulldogs situation above)

But as before, he goes on to be an a**hole and refuses to negotiate a multi-team deal. Instead he takes a self-entitled attitude saying we want that pick in the teens but we won’t help you get it – it is your problem to satisfy us and we wont deal with a third party.

That approach makes us do all the heavy lifting, even though your net result hinges on our ability to negotiate.

If Dodo would help negotiate a 3 team deal, we could potentially get a better downgraded draft pick return by involving say GWS or GC, and Essendon would get a better return for Carlisle.

But no ... their list manager is a belligerent muppet who says either give us 5 or go find us a pick in the teens. Who refuses to be involved in constructive multi-team negotiations to help us net them a better return for Carlisle

Now that is the last 3 years. Anyone who wants to go back further is welcome to

that

BANG! Does that satisfy the OP? Ha ha

Geez that is just lazy by Dodo not wanting to help get the best pick available in return for Carlisle, why on earth would Essendon want a guy like that in charge of their list?

Asking for Wines or Wingard (lol) as part of the Ryder trade.
LOL. It is not about insecurity. I just want some discussion. Explain it to me bigfooty brainiacs.

Last year, St Kilda were interested in Myers from Essendon. Dodoro wanted pick 1 from the Saints and an established player..

Tell me how that's not difficult or unreasonable??

How do you actually know any of that regarding St Kilda or are you just reading between the lines with a St Kilda slant?

95% of the people who continually trot out this line are Essendon supporters. No one else really cares

The reason you are right is because the team has been a poor performing side for over ten years, so it's not like being difficult or not at trade matters or has made any difference.

Refusing to deal on Houli
He was a required player and Essendon wanted a pick in the thirties and refused Richmond's pick in the 40's… He has averaged 22 games a year for the 5 years since. Do you think a pick in the 40's is fair for a best 22 player?

St.Kilda slant? Its from your own website mate!

"We certainly think a fair deal is their first selection (5) ... We’ve had a couple of discussions with St Kilda, we think that we’re being fair and reasonable. We’re not interested in third party, fourth party deals"

http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2015-10-09/dodoro-on-carlisle-trade

Or is your point that Dodo will only accept 5 and not a mid-teens pick? Coz that really wont help your argument

Freo try to trade him in and the Bombers wanted a first round pick. Freo said no and the Bombers delisted.
You having a laff? Why would you ask for a first rounder and then delist said player?

Tell me how that's not made up on the spot u filthy welcher

Disco is not the problem. We were sanctioned pretty heavily and have had a few players leave. Having one pick between the first and second round of the draft over two years hurts.

Your previous post is interesting though… Turning Tony Delaney into Matthew Lloyd was genius.
11 years since a finals win? He shouldn't have a job.

Those draft santions won't be felt for a couple of years - they would still be kids.
