Site back working.

Just had a quick thought about our team in 3 years. It's in hindsight I know but looks pretty good don't you think? With some big bodies and pace all over the ground.

I can't help but be optimistic and get excited about the future!

pretty optimistic to think that 8+ of our draftees/recruits will be in the starting 22 in 3 years isnt it?

that said, i cant help but get excited about the future. i think they drafted exactly what we need... cant wait for season 08!! the cricket season couldnt end sooner i reckon

To be honest he's probably right, McLeod, Goodwin, Edwards, Bassett, McGregor won't be playing in 3 years time...we've lost Hudson, Welsh, Meeson, Mattner..we lose a lot of age here...

We won't have many players above 27 in three years time, which is good.

I'd say McKay would be in there somewhere too..thank god pace was our #1 priority this year.

In all truth who knows what the team will look like. Just something I put together quickly to bring some excitement.

However in 3 years you would want all your 20-22 year olds pushing for a start.

Yeah, forgot about MacKay.

Think we probably need one more young in-and-under midfielder and another ruckman or two in the next draft to set us up real well for the next 10 years.

what i mean is he's put pretty much every player we've acquired in this off-season in his 22. realistically there'll be a few who won't make it there...

but i'm just being pedantic here. bring on 08!

glad to see we drafted 2 of the 4 aboriginal players drafted by all 16 clubs. bit of a difference to previous years...
