Yes and id like to point out that he is also not an aboriginal... At least this game is only going to be $79.95.

They are pretty old screenshots when you consider that each player has been colour matched since as well as hairstyles sorted out. I think I mentioned some days ago that this was one of the jobs I was working on.

With regards to kicking on the right. Yes he is listed as a left footer in the game but if under pressure or unable to release the ball in time on the left he'll kick on the right. It does affect his accuracy however when the non-preferred foot is used.

When can we expect to see some screenshots with colour/hairstyles? Looks the goods

Don't know why people are too bitchy. Who really watches what foot they kick with.

$79.95 is a good price for first release. Also, FH, The screenshots are quite dark, is that something we will see in the game, or just the images and/or unfinished quality?

It'll be out in September and then again, will be off the cabinet for 1 month and never be touched again. The release dates are :mad::mad:ing terrible. Shouldn't buy it, but will because it will be a great game.

That's why you need to be able to trade players around and create draft picks etc etc

Nah, they'd be mad to.

While yes, they would make more money from the AFL deal if they did, it would hinder them in the bigger struggle, and I don't mean the battle being fought out for gaming consoles, but the bigger battle for blu-ray.

This one wouldnt come out on the 360 though would it? I think if its ported (?) it would go to Xbox only.

Yeah they haven't been corrected for lighting. Mind you, when they were taken our lighting settings weren't finalised in the game. The players are now colour corrected so red headed players are quite pale for example :p

Is there a pass button to go straight to a teammate, ala FIFA, or to you have to use the metre every time?

There isn't a direct kick to a team mate but the handballs head in the direction of team mates. Ruck taps also go directly to your man - that's why it's imperative to win the ruck contest especially on hard difficulty.
The kicking meter is colour coded which allows you to measure your kicks. With the two kicking buttons (not counting the torpedo which is a kick modifier) you can kick in the direction you are facing or leaning the left analogue stick (X button for normal kick) or the centre-ing kick/shot at goal button which will either go at the goal or as close to a contest as possible depending on if you are in range of goal or not (Square button).

The screenshots are pretty good (boot shape is a little iffy though). The box is pretty cool I like it how all the players (1 from each team) are all vying for the ball in a big pack. How cool! I liked 2004s box the best but hey its the game that matters.

P.S 2004s box rules

Yeah we're not allowed to put any particular boot manufacturer into the game so they are kinda generic hacks of all the boot types out there. The only people with actual a boot manufacturer logo are the umpires believe it or not.

AFL 99 was funny as. Des Headland was the no.1 draft pick prior to the game, and they would have heard he was aboriginal etc.

He is dark as dark in that game :p

Yeah there isn't one definitive aboriginal colour...something that has been the mentality previously. I mean, compare Mark Williams or Corey McGrath to Byron Pickett or David Wirrpanda. There's a difference. Hopefully that's reflected in the game for once.

Why shouldnt he be, no amount do bleach can hide the fact you are a ranga

FH, will kicking distances for individual players be different so we can tell the difference between Lynch, Lucas, Dew, Rocca, Lonie, Hurn (Hurn kicked 4 65m+ goals on the run for Peel a few weeks back ;)) and guys like Hayes, Cousins, RoJo etc. who can only kick about 50? Coz the main reason in 2005 I swapped for Dew was so he could kick long off my half back line. I was disappointed that like the other players he could only kick 30m

There are about 20 or so players rated 100 for kicking distance. They feature names like Lonie (x2), Fletcher, Dew, Hodge, Rocca (x2) and Lucas. They will kick around 65-70m on the run and should rattle the cage on a set shot from up to 60m or so. You also have the other extreme where players kick about 40-45m like Tim Clarke for example. You can easily tell how much distance a player can kick by when the goal kicking hud pops up on the screen. Of course this means you'll have to test all footballers along half forward or the wing to find that out.

Good to see you knowing the kicking distances of the Hawk players. ;)

Thats great to see correct kicking attributes.

Well I hope I have about 80% of them right...

Exceptions to the rule tend to be first year players who I have rated lower in categories such as this one so as to allow the User to develop them more. There are a few exceptions but they rate 70 at most.

Wait till you see Clarke's accuracy and stamina ratings :p
I cant wait :)
