Hey guys, seen the thread below and even though its fairly obvious that they wont make a new one, for a while at least. There is no harm in dreaming!

Post all your wishes and requested fixes for the 'New' AFL 2009 on PS3/XBOX 360 (release date: never:mad:)

Realistic injury animations, more variety of bumps, tackles and shirtfronts, stats stats stats stats stats!!!
oh and better gameplay.

New production company: EA sports, please god not IR Gurus or whoever it was.

- fix the tackling, im sick of having my player about to drop the ball onto his boot, get tackled and magickly have the ball appear back in his firm grasp against his stomach

- fix the stictness of the umpiring, even on lenient you have the ball for literally half a second and its called holding the ball.

- make the goalkicking harder

- fix the HUGE bug where injured players never recover

- refine the handballing, it was shocking in 07 and i only ever did it to even up the stats of my player.

- better and easier bumping, change it up, lots of variety.

- i agree with the bloke above me. more stats!!! it adds so much more depth to the game

- enable the player to schedule changes... i.e HBF>RR every 10mins etc. this would help avoid the constant pausing and the random interchanging of players, its lame as.

- be able to hire coaches and build facilities

- pose scenario's to the game player that will affect the season i.e the players wish to skp training today and go to the movies (or something like that)..

that'll do for now

u get to select dream team and victorian sides :)

a legends team ie: get to play as gray ablett snr, tony lockett or polly farmer

well i reckon that would b cool :)

Won't be a use for any of it, but just for shits and giggles.

Better off-season:
Trading needs to be overhauled - Use a TAR-like system, or just a mix of the best trading parts from the management games. Make the system so there are less trades and when there are make it so that the deals are fair for both or that one team barely loses the trade, otherwise no deals. This will result in less trades making it more realistic.

More in-depth drafting - Give more in-depth views of players, give us the age of players, potential rating, and maybe an A(+ or -), B(+ or -), C(+ or -), D(+ or -), E(+ or -), F(+ or -) grading system for their attributes(Of which each grade could be between 10 points of an attribute, so as to not give a bang on description).

Proper contract system - Have a contract system based more around real salaries. Just make the whole system more to life, not for the convenience of the game.

In-Game Improvements:

Make rucking harder, or just less influential - Being able to smash a ball 20 metres is ok if you can do it once or twice a match, but not every single hit-out. Also make it tougher to direct the hitouts straight to where you want every time.

Make the marking system work better - Very inconsistent marking in AFL '07. If you push the button at the right time you should be able to mark it, but at the same time it shouldn't be simple to mark.

Make kicking shorter a better option - Much like the rucking system. If you are always kicking the ball 50-60 metres then it is going to take a max. of 2-3 kicks to get a goal each time. Make it so if you bomb it there will most likely be a contest or you will be under immense pressure to mark.

Ground contests more congested - When the ball falls to the ground make it tough to cleanly pick it up and run away, make it scrappy when on the ground. ie: More fumbles, no easy clean possessions, more ball ups.

Graphics are always in need of an improve. Thought the stadiums were great in AFL '07 just a minor facelift needed with a new game on that front. Then try and improve the players as much as possible to make them as individual as they can look.

That's my list so far, as I think of more I'll add a few.

Be able to mark the friggen ball instead of having your opponent take marks over you at every single contest

I think a great improvement would be to have to jump then press mark to take a grab off the ground. If they got that right it would be an awesome gameplay enhancement.

Another one would be if the goal indicator slowed down or got wider if you were running towards the goals in space to replicate being able to steady for your kick.

lolwot?

you can all talk about a game that will probably never come out if you want, no point making a wishlist if there isn't even a game in the works

why don't you go write a letter to Santa while you're at it tiger b00bs?
again... f*ck off

I'm going to have to agree, f*ck off d1ckhead.

Now back on track.
Lost of stats are always good, better sound effects and better crowd would be good.

I think the thread proves why AFL games are so crap. Way too complicated, way too hard to turn into a free-flowing, technical and fun game.

One day maybe..

I think a lot of these can be resolved by intergrating in the right analogue control, especially kicking and marking. Would agree with most of the above.
