For anyone interested here is the link below to Monday nights live show taking a look at this game.

Full disclosure it is a Richmond based Pod so if our knowledge / views of opposition players aren't A+++ that's why, however we do make an effort to be unbiased in our previews.

Dees Preview from 32:08 - we got a bit side tracked at the 41 min mark

Topics covered:
-Welcome to everyone
-Richmond redevelopment additional cost, club asking members to chip in.
-Liam Baker & Dustin Martin movements
-Would you do the trade?
-Preview of Melbourne game.

Otherwise you can view it below:

How does the saying go? Backs to the wall or something. Unfortunately, that makes it easier for our heads to be slammed against it.

Only thing going for us is that we haven't been terrible at the MCG yet. So Melbourne by only 23 points I guess?

I'm thinking that I will hold off making my tips until I see the umpire selections.

This would have been a good game a few weeks ago before the Tigers got really torn apart on the injury front. Hopefully it still is but I’m not optimistic. Really does look a case of how far Melbourne.

Dees should smash us in the middle with no Taranto who was BOG last year according to the coaches and May and Lever will do a number on our forwards with no Lynch or Balta.

10 goals plus IMO.

Given our injuries, I'd say Demons by a lot; however, as Ooze knows the Dees inside out, I'm hoping his close knowledge can keep us close enough to not get our backsides handed to us.

Dees by 19
I hadn't considered that. Still think they'll do it comfortably.

LOL please. You're playing Richmond yeah? No one gets to complain about the umps against us. Well, maybe Crows....

Dees need to play our mids and forwards into some form. We were tired against Brisbane so a long break and an injury depleted Richmond should equal a big win. If not, we aren’t a contender.

Fun fixture quirk:

Richmond has a longer break after this game than they did for their bye round (11 days vs 10).
CFL really thrown us in the washing machine this year.

Not surprised the amount of injuries.

Of the possible ins, Hopper replacing one of the mids will improve us in the short term,
Ryan replacing Kosi I think is an upgrade, but I don't even back the match committee to make that call.

Bringing Grimes in for someone, I'm not actually sure that improves us man for man, but it would help in terms of structural leadership and match experience.

Even with that, if Demons are a serious finals side, which they probably are, they should be beating an undermanned rebuilding side like us quite comfortably. We're genuine bottom 3 with the team we will roll out on Wednesday.

IF they are, they should easily account for the Lions. They didn't.
We have a lonng way to go.
Brisbane's a far different prospect to the current Richmond available lineup though.

The records on paper might not be too different, but there's a gulf between those sides at the moment.

Not only that... Brisbane were pumped for that game. It was a win they needed. Richmond wont have the same intensity

In both games last year, Richmond led Melbourne by around 25 points in the second quarter. Richmond lost both games by a combined 50 points.
Just a fun fact.
Reckon the tiges will keep it close for a fair portion of the game.
