It'll be AFL23 with updated rosters and a new "career mode" which will be bare bones and unplayable until they release their 3 patches after realising the game is broken, before rebranding it to AFL27 for next year and releasing it.

Yeah, the straw they're grasping is that with 23 they have something to build on for 26 (debatable...) but then they ignore the disaster every one of their tennis games have been despite being up to what? Their third? And their cricket games continue to shit the bed at launch despite being their most consistent release.

Yeah, it's crazy seeing all the brown nosing when Big Ant haven't showcased anything from 26. I remember the brown noses use to plague this forum and get mad at you if you questioned 23's unplayable state. Ross was gaslighting that 23 was more advanced than Live 1's gameplay, which astounded me, he must have had a secret version we didn't know about then.

I had never even seen tiebreak until I read this. Just youtubed it and holy shiiiiiiit how embarrassing. Honestly BA should just focus on bringing out one half decent cricket game a year because i think saying they half ass things is very generous.
I honestly think peoples perception on Live is very skewed by the fact the last game we had was in 07 and all the ps2 era games were very basic.

Maybe it's a new strategy by the developers to release the broken product, then promote and advertise it afterwards when it's just about playable. Ingenious.

Because none of the AFL games have been "great", Live 1 stands out because most of the mechanics were designed the best and had the most logic to them, like on the run goals needing composed movement.

It still was ultimately a complete tacklefest that was kick, tackle ball up and repeat. There was no actual use of handball except trying to quickly get it out of the contest before another tackle led to another ball up.
It was good fun, but nowhere near a close representation of the sport.

Suspect that is a fake using academy creations from 23 - no jocktag on the Guernsey, AFL26 watermark is different to the only official screenshot on the retail pages and the afl logo still on the wrong wing (surely this is fixed in 26). Still I guess if you don’t market your game, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what isn’t.

Yeah, but anyone over there with an alternate opinion, regardless of how it's expressed, is shat on by Border then banned by JNT.

Every single poster here would be over the moon if AFL 26 delivers, but ... AFL 23, AO Tennis, AO Tennis 2, Tiebreak, Cricket 24, Rugby 25...
