First Crack is my favourite footy show because it's just reviews of all the games with no other bullshit on top.

An extra episode to preview the games would be fantastic.
Isn't it funny that there's 9 games, 3 broadcasters covering it, about 50 shows and only one actual show that actually talks about the footy as a tactical sport outside of 'they brought the heat' and they 'should run and take the 45 more'

An there it was exactly, post game on fox I caught on YouTube. The post game analysis was ' they picked up the intensity and played harder'

Nick Vlastuin actually spat out 2-3 tactical things that Richmond changed which was a bit rare but the actual broadcasters have no idea what happens in games. AFL footy gotta be the easiest sport on earth to be an analyst on, you don't have to know anything

I'll admit it,
I don't know who Josh Treacy is.
I don't watch many clashes in the Graveyard.
Gary claiming "he'll kick you 60 or 70 if you get it to him" seems a little unlikely. J.Hogan had 69 last year & that felt like a fairly special year. 💁

He's only 22 and kicked 45 goals last year.

Could quite easily see him kick 60 this year if Freo go well.
He's going to be a star.

Fair. But that's a big IF
& and even bigger, making the jump from 45 to 60 odd.

Such a soft interview with Brad Scott.
I get that they like to have a good rapport with the coaches so they they can continue to get them back on the show
but The Bombers were top 4 for a good portion of last year. The signs were positive after Rd1 (I heard it repeatedly across the round)
and then they get embarrassed by the 15th team from last year who previously couldn't win at The G.
The Crows & Bombers supposedly started rebuilding around the same time, so I'd expect at least a few probing question, and I think their members would too.

not a surprise, honestly.

don't usually mind Nathan Buckley OTC, however his comments were a bit extra complimentary towards cripps saying
him and TDK have played two... 9 out of 10 games so far. how about a couple of 7s and no coaches votes bucko.?

I take it you haven't seen his strange commercials for Advanced Hair (yeah yeah) where he and Pat Cash grunt at each other.
Oh Yeah (Yeah) I forgot about that!
It looked straight out of the aerosol can last night.

Should give Simpson a half hour show on tactics. He breaks it down so well
He was great last night, his breakdown of how Lions improved and then how Hawks used a spare in defence.. great stuff. This is what is lay people want to see from recently retired coaches/ players

He won't be. Jye Amiss genuinely looked better in his first season than Matthew Pavlich did and he now looks resigned to being someone who can't stay in the games and whose weaknesses are a little too many and a little too evident. Freo has a phenomenal ability to curtail potential.

Kenny definitely has his earbuds upside down & in the wrong ears tonight.
If only Joshy Carr was there to help old mate out.

I've barely watched the show this year. Razor's thoughts about umpiring controversies are worth watching as long as he's not sitting on the fence. Simmo and Horse is worth a watch particularly if Simmo will bring astute analysis to the table like he did last week. The chemistry between the hosts isn't there sadly. No yin and yang like there was between Gerard and Robbo.
