AFL Full Membership needed

hi guys I know this sounds like an absolute travesty but help a brother from another mother out....my best mate is a saints fan and we are looking for anyone/someone who has an AFL full membership that he can use to get his GF ticket.....

if saints lose - don't worry I'll let him know about it!!! hahahaha but I do prescribe (however full on I am about Carlton) to the fact that everyone should be entitled to go to a GF and see their team win one in their lifetime (that doesn't include pies fans though)....ps or bombers!!!!

I Have a silver membership i dont think that gets u a guarenteed ticket though if it does let me know and ill definatly help your mate out.But i wont a few slabs in return seriously pm me if my silver membership can help your mate out.

bluesteel I am fairly certain they check everyones AFL memberships against their IDs for the GF to prevent scalpers.

What about during the rush period? Surely they won't check every person when there's SO many ppl rushing through the gates.

That is not quite true. They certainly do more frequent ID checks at the GF than a normal home-and away game, but if they checked every single one you would be lucky to get half the members in before the first bounce.

I am a full gold member and always have friends or family who support one of the teams use my membership get tickets and havent had a problem. It will be nice when i can finally use my own membership to watch the blues in a gf again!

A Silver membership will not work, the AFL released a statement yesterday at 11:24am saying that the allocation had sold out and that there would be no tickets left for Silver members to purchase.

I have been an AFL member since 1994 (full since 1998) and I go to the GF every year, I have never been checked for ID/signature. Last year a friend of mine was checked but I have never seen it happen or been checked. This year we are told to have our card and photo ID with us on GF day.

The interesting thing about the AFL members section is that the Medallion Club also have GF tickets and they are in our area, those memberships are transferable so I don't see how they can do signature checks.

Good luck to those wanting tickets though, hope you get them.
