Opinion AFL Games Scoring Interface

Is it just me, or was the new interface for the scoring a bit bland and boring.. The whole flags pointing to the right like this " > " And sometimes the text on stats was restricted by space and shortened. Not impressed.. Maybe it's just me, but i expect something better then this, Has anyone ever seen how the MLB do it ? They have beautiful interfaces with great technologies.

Anyway, Is it just me? or did others note this as well?
