Did he actually withstand the pain though?I feel pretty bad that he broke his arm. I'm also impressed with his ability to withstand some serious pain. He's a tough guy, no doubt.
But the decision to stay out there with a break is a bit me, me, me. Even allowing for his one armed, run down tackle (that did more damage to his arm as well).
No matter which way you slice and dice it, his team would have been better off with a fit player out there.
All that 100 goal talk was a real measure of overconfidence, if it was coming from in house. Just plain silly. It had been pointed out a lot before their game with us in the Prelim, that they were not tested since before rd. 12.
And sure enough... when the heat went up, they wilted. As a lot of us believed they would, and had pointed out here on bf often, for very good reasons.
He did an amazing chase down and tackle but straight after it the pain beat him. The only withstanding he did was stay on the ground. Not like Dermie or Hodge taking big marks with broken ribs.
