Yeah great article...this just keeps getting better!!! Cant believe we still have a good 50 odd days to wait tho!!!

thats probably cause these pics are from the beta of the game, they might still be fixing it, should look abit nicer by the time they release it. :thumbsu::)

Game is looking really good, so happy we finally have someone making AFL again hopefully they get bigger and better and keep making AFL :)

After you've had a read, I don't see why I can't answer any questions you guys might have. Obviously there are parameters to what I can and can't answer, so please try to be sensible but otherwise I'm glad to answer what I can based on what I have seen and sampled.

Also, bare in mind I am not a professional games journalist like that fella from The Age. I just do this for a hobby, though I do hope to get a lot better at it over time; 'we're none of us perfect' after all.

Awesome job mate, gave away a little bit of info but not too much, got me very excited for the game, but you probably shouldn't have said the crowd looks bad.

Just finished reading it (was too busy going over the new screen, haha). Excellent article. This 360° spoiling thing sounds interesting. I love the idea, and can't wait to see how it plays.
 
Awesome write up! I'm really keen for this game, everything seems to be pretty cool, hopefully it will live up to everyones lofty expectations.

I gotta call it like I see it man.

But like I said, that is such an irrelevant factor in the game; but I figured I'd touch on it, because there was a lot of talk about how the crowds would actually be in the game.

When you're in the thick of it, the crowd is the last thing on your mind. ;)

Nice review, I think quite fair and balanced - we will have to work on that crowd! ... and the socks :)

Just so everyone here doesn't flood you with questions, the tour and game play session was on the provision that nothing would be talked about outside of what has been publicly disclosed already until the trailer is released. The guys are of course free to talk about their raw opinion of those elements of the game, good or bad.

Yeah good point, crowd is something very minor.

Would have liked some new teams in the screens, the EB screenshots had Saints and Pies and Pies and Blues and now the same here, at least we got a look at Subi and the Eagles/Crows.

Thanks Ross! Once again, thanks so much for the opportunity to come down and hang with you guys for a bit. Was definitely worth the lengthy commute in the end. ;)

By the way, that MulletGuy dude who added you on XBL a week ago, or so, was yours truly. So dust off the Xbox when this comes out, we'll be duking it out champ. :)

I'm going to be honest and say that this sort of thing is unlikely to get fixed. The game is made to be in motion, and in motion you wouldn't see it.

It's the balance between getting players to instantly change their mind on what they want to do and snappng the animation, and having real-world inertia and frocing players to what before actions can begin. (Hope this makes sense?)
 
From the sound of it, there are a few things that need to be mastered. (I know it won't happen!) But it would be pretty sweet if we could get a demo of just training. 2-3 drills, eg Goal kicking, spoiling and maybe a handball drill or something!

Also keeps people occupied till April!

Wow just read through the review and im so excited i feel like just doing a nude run down the road lol cant wait for the trailer sounds like it is going to really awesome!! :)

Great article, only thing that bugs is in the Carlton v Collingwood game the crowd looks half empty.
 
i don't care that the crowd looks bad because big ant have recorded the crowd noise at put it into the game not even sure if fifa has done that
